The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, May 15, tease that Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will struggle to know if he’s made the right decision. Even if he did what was best, Daniel will realize there’s going to be major backlash.
After confessing Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) survival to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) on Friday, Daniel will be waiting for bombs to go off in Monday’s Y&R episode.
By swapping himself in for Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) in the story about Phyllis’ encounter in the park, Daniel will hope that’s enough to keep his sister out of trouble.
However, Daniel will know Summer’s going to be furious when she inevitably finds out he divulged Phyllis’ secret – including the fact that she’s behind Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) death.
Summer will remain in the dark on Daniel’s betrayal for now, but she may completely turn against her brother if his spillage leads to Phyllis’ incarceration.
Daniel will have to worry about tearing apart his family even further, so he’ll have a lot on his mind when he returns to Crimson Lights.
Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will also be there contemplating some parenting problems, so she should have a chance to commiserate with Daniel.
After Daniel alludes to some family drama and hints about waiting on things to blow up, Chelsea will understand that it must be tough for Daniel and his loved ones right now.
Of course, Daniel doesn’t want all of Genoa City to get updates on Phyllis being alive, so he may change the subject if Chelsea gets too nosy.
Once Chelsea comforts Daniel, she might admit she’s struggling as well since Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is having a hard time with the news of his baby sister.
Chelsea will want to help Connor adjust and get back to being a happier version of himself, but she won’t know how to make that happen.
Daniel may relate and suggest that when you land in tricky situations that you can’t change, it can be difficult to figure it out as you go along.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Daniel and Chelsea will have a nice bonding session, so maybe that’ll ease Daniel’s nerves a bit about what’s to come.
