The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Sharon & Phyllis Trapped In Life-Threatening Situation – Enemies Forced to Team Up

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that some curveballs are brewing for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) as a major storyline heats up. Phyllis and Sharon’s animosity has been boiling over lately, but things are about to shift in a surprising direction.

Y&R Head Writer and Executive Producer Josh Griffith dropped some intriguing hints in a new interview with TV Insider. It turns out Phyllis and Sharon will face a scary dilemma that could lead to them reconsidering their status as foes.

“Sharon and Phyllis will be thrown into a life-or-death situation where they’re both going to have to reevaluate their relationship,” Griffith said.

Of course, Griffith didn’t go into the details of what that means, but we can read between the lines here. It sounds like Phyllis and Sharon may be forced to team up, so these enemies could become allies out of necessity!

In the December 30 episode, Jordan (Colleen Zenk) caught Sharon off guard when she attacked her from behind. Sharon was chloroformed in preparation for an apparent kidnapping, so she’s in a tight spot that’s only going to get tighter.

Phyllis also has more drama ahead of her since Ian Ward (Ray Wise) told Jordan they should take advantage of Phyllis’ “animal nature.” Jordan was given some off-screen directions involving Phyllis, so all signs point to her being framed for Sharon’s snatching.

Could that lead to Phyllis having to clear her own name? Will Phyllis be the one to discover captive Sharon somewhere?

It’d be interesting if Phyllis came to Sharon’s rescue, but that’s when Jordan might ambush her, too! Phyllis could become a hostage as well depending on how this twisted Jordan and Ian mayhem plays out.

If Sharon and Phyllis ultimately get stuck in captivity together, that could give them a chance to join forces. Phyllis might have to accept that she was wrong about Sharon causing Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) grim fate and form an alliance with her.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that Sharon and Phyllis’ efforts to gain the upper hand will be successful. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will have a starring role in this storyline, so he’ll certainly have an opportunity to play the hero along the way.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jordan and Ian will have to make some updates to their scheme as complications arise, so we’ll pass along more predictions on all the shocking news ahead.
