In tonight’s 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, Jasmine was trying to make her new life work, but it’s hard for her. She was pregnant. It wasn’t her husband’s baby. It was actually her boyfriend’s and her husband wasn’t happy with her. They started an open marriage. Jasmine began sleeping with Matt. Gino began sleeping with someone else.
Jasmine actually got upset with Gino that he was following her example and she tried to fight for him. Fight for their marriage. It didn’t work out because the pregnancy changed things. She now has to make things work with Matt. They didn’t have any other choice in the matter. They were having a baby together. It was a little girl.
Matt was complaining that all the baby items were pink. He told Jasmine that he didn’t want to live in a Barbie house tonight. She told him that he might have to move. Jasmine has boys back in Panama.
She was very happy to finally be having a little girl. She couldn’t wait to dress her up in pink. Matt was merely raining on her parade because he didn’t want her to be too excited for the baby. Matt didn’t seem happy himself about it. He comes from a religious family and he didn’t expect anyone would find out that he was sleeping with a married woman.
Well, he didn’t count on knocking up Jasmine. He was hoping to keep her a dirty secret. She’s never met any of his friends or family. He hasn’t met her family. Jasmine was afraid to tell her side that she was having a baby out of wedlock.
Matt felt the same on top of being afraid to tell his religious family that Jasmine was still married to someone else. He told Jasmine that his mom might feel they were going to burn in hell. Jasmine then asked him why would he say that? It was a horrible thing to say to a pregnant woman. Matt was hiding Jasmine and Jasmine was worried it might never change.
Matt eventually agreed to introduce her to a childhood friend. Jasmine thought that would be a great first step. Her family was in Panama and so they didn’t necessarily have to find out the full details about what she’s been up to, but his family was stateside.
They were bound to see him mentioned on social media as well as tv. Plus, something about the way he said he had everything going for him before he threw it away for his relationship with Jasmine. She called him out on that one too. They both made sacrifices. And she might end up deporting if Gino follows through on his threat.
Over at Lake Placid, the couples’ trip kicked off on a bad foot. Jovi could be passive aggressive. He told his wife that she looked much better now than she did as a kid. He essentially brought up her plastic surgery and he said that in front of their friends. He didn’t have to say it. He knew she struggled with remarks from online and her own family.
Her mother didn’t think she was beautiful as a child. It’s why Yara got work done to begin with. She didn’t need Jovi reinforcing that its only because she had work done that she’s beautiful now. He could’ve just stopped at beautiful.
Jovi adds these comments to get under Yara’s skin. She tried to fob it off in front of others. Things were different behind closed doors. She told him how much that hurt. She would never do that to him. She wouldn’t put him down to anyone. She’d save her comments till it was just the two of them. Like she did tonight.
Jovi didn’t look all that great as a teen either. He had a haircut straight out of “Dumb & Dumber”. She told him as much and she said she normally wouldn’t have told him at all if he hadn’t started talking crap.
Jovi ignored her because that’s what he does. He shuts her out to get through the fight. He doesn’t talk or acknowledge any wrongdoing. He even told Alexi that he mutes Yara in his head. Alexi said things were different for him. He’d at least apologize because he knows that looks matter to women. It’s a sore spot for them.
He also felt bad for Yara that her own mother didn’t think she was beautiful. Not that it stopped Jovi for making comments. He kept going. He ragged on Yara for her outfit change. Again, just stop at beautiful.
This couple’s trip also had the added drama of Andrei and Elizabeth. Elizabeth was still mad at Loren for calling Andrei arrogant and he was. The man demands a lot from his wife. He wanted total loyalty. He sometimes alienates his wife from anyone that disagrees with him. It was a bit of a surprise they agreed to the trip in the first place.
The only one not uncomfortable by their presence was Jovi. Jovi took Andrei’s first comment when they came in as a joke. He said that Andrei was trying to put everyone at ease and it only made Loren and Alexi more uncomfortable. And Yara called Andrei a few names in her confessional.
Julia and Brandon were at least happier now. Brandon thought about everything. He realized that he loves his wife and was going to stand up for their marriage. His parents have been pushing them on having a baby.
They’ve gotten to a point where it seems like they don’t care the toll its taken on the couple. They don’t see that the couple needed to work on a few things first. Its why Julia suggested they travel for a bit. She told Brandon that she was going to Europe with or without him. He told her that it was going to be with him.
Brandon had already quit his job. He was ready to travel Europe with Julia. They were leaving without a set return date. The only ones that didn’t know about the trip were his parents.
His parents were quick to think his marriage was over when Julia went to New York without Brandon. They were a little too quick. They showed their hands and now was the time for repercussions. Brandon decided to talk to his parents on his own. Again, him quitting meant there was no way to backtrack. Which probably helped with sticking to his decision tonight.
Jasmine did finally meet Matt’s friend, David. It came after Matt asked her to hide her pregnant belly. It also came after Matt refused to teach Jasmine anything about the Romanian culture.
This included never using the word “gypsy”. Davis also seemed upset when she brought up Dracula. Though to be fair, Jasmine did start off the sentence saying in her ignorance she only knew two things about Romania. Matt found everything she said to be wrong and what could he expect. He never prepped her. He also did his best to hide her pregnant belly.
He didn’t realize it at the time. He might realize it later on. Only Jasmine appeared to be out for revenge tonight. She heard Matt downplay their whole relationship to David.
She then decided to get revenge by spilling everything. She really did mean everything too. She brought up her marriage. Her pregnancy. She also said that Matt appeared to be ashamed of her looking pregnant because he tried to hide her bump. David was a good guy because he tried to find compromise in everything. He told Jasmine how complicated it will look for Matt to his family.
He also told Matt that Jasmine deserved to meet his family. David seemed like a good guy. He was the voice of reason inside the tornado of chaos. Jasmine told him how she was worried about getting deported while pregnant. She didn’t want to raise her daughter by herself back in Panama. She was worried because Gino has been quiet lately.
He tends to plot something whenever he gets quiet. Those are Jasmine’s words and that proved to be true because her ex-husband was plotting something. Gino wants to get her deported broke and pregnant.
Gino spent a lot of money on Jasmine. He now wants it all back. He said he sees now that she used him to get to the United States and that he couldn’t wait to get tried for marriage fraud. He wanted back the seventy-six thousand he spent on her.
He especially wanted to break up her and Matt. Gino was out for revenge and who knows how long he’s going to drag out this divorce as well. Jasmine once said her marriage was merely a piece of paper. Now, she’s going to be stuck with it until Gino’s revenge was over.
Darcey’s marriage also looked to be on the breaking point. Things were going well in Bulgaria in the beginning. They took a downturn right around the time that Stacey showed up with Florian.
Georgi knew going in that Darcey was close to her sister. They weren’t just sisters. They were identical twins. They evenly matched each other in plastic surgeries so that they remained identical twins. Stacey didn’t know where the anger from Georgi was coming from. Nor did Georgi want to fix things with his wife.
Georgi was taking forever to pay his half of the rent. Darcey tried to message him on it because they weren’t talking. He didn’t respond and so she included her dad on the group chat.
It got Georgi to finally pay up. Not that Georgi didn’t ask for money back. Darcey suspected he was saving up to build a nest egg when he leaves. She usually paid for everything. Their home, their trips, and their bills. Georgi was no longer appreciative of it and he has stopped communicating. They still share a bed. They just sleep on their side and there’s no longer any cuddling or intimacy.
Back to the couples’ trip from hell, Jovi still thought he was funny. He brought up Yara’s looks again. Elizabeth called him out and told him he was being hurtful towards his wife.
He knew this was a tough subject for Yara. Why does he keep bringing it up? Why does he still think it’s funny? No one finds it funny. Alexi tried to tell him. Elizabeth was now telling him. It’s bad when not even Andrei laughs. He had Yara in tears. She just wishes that Jovi would think before he spoke. Things were already awkward as it for this trip.
