The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 24, reveals that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) kept checking her phone nervously as she awaited a press review on the latest Hope for the Future collection.
Although Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) had stepped up in Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) absence, the line had a different feel now.
Hope was worried since Thomas’ last collection had the entire fashion world talking and the sales backed that up.
A lot was riding on how the press would react without Thomas’ designs.
Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) offered reassurance and hoped for good news, but Hope feared Thomas would be a tough act to follow.
After talk turned to Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and keeping the kids safe, Steffy admitted Thomas hadn’t reached out and hadn’t really been on her mind. Sheila was the far bigger concern right now.
In the design office, Zende was happy with the work he’d done on the line and got plenty of praise from Eric.
Although Zende was confident in his skills for the first time, he still felt like he was designing in Thomas’ shadow.
Zende had to wonder how their collection would be received since he wasn’t Thomas.
At Paris Buckingham’s (Diamond White) apartment, Thomas brought her coffee and thanked her for giving him a place to stay after his family kicked him out.
Paris assured Thomas that he’d be doing the cooking and cleaning to pay her back, so they smiled over her loving the way he cooks.
Once Paris acknowledged that Thomas was an outcast, she admitted she could tell he loved his family.
Thomas said he may not play by the same rules, but he felt his heart was in the right place.
After Thomas insisted it was nice to have at least one person in his corner, Paris replied that it was nice to have someone like Thomas in her life.
Thomas gave Paris a high five as they shared another warm moment.
Paris eventually realized it was getting late, so she had to get to Forrester Creations for the Hope for the Future meeting.
Thomas got updates on everyone rallying around Hope during a stressful time.
However, Thomas felt that Hope wouldn’t be worrying about a thing if he was still the lead designer.
After Thomas said that wasn’t ego talking, he told Paris that he’d proven himself and that everyone knew it.
Back at Forrester Creations, Hope confessed she really did miss Thomas’ designs since he captured the essence of Hope for the Future.
Thomas often knew what Hope wanted before she even knew herself.
Once Zende and Eric joined Hope as well as Steffy, they all wondered where Paris was.
Hope also asked if things were good between Paris and Zende, so he said they were just friends now and added that it was cool.
Suddenly, the latest press review was in according to Hope’s phone.
Steffy questioned what the reviewer said, so Hope read their comments about a surprise shakeup from Zende and Eric – the number two designer and Forrester Creations founder.
Although the reviewer tried to be gentle about it, he ultimately called the new collection a far cry from the artistry and innovation Thomas’ work had.
Meanwhile, Thomas read the same thing and told Paris that the reviewer ripped the latest design team to shreds.
Since Thomas had lots of other designs that could save the day, he hoped they’d be blowing up his phone begging him to come back soon.
At Il Giardino on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) sampled some pizzas as he tried to perfect his recipe.
When Sheila showed up, Deacon invited her to help taste-test and wrote down her advice.
Sheila congratulated Deacon since he was Il Giardino’s new proprietor, but he felt he should be congratulating her since she proved him wrong and got out of prison.
After Sheila told “Daddy” to never count her out, Deacon said that “Daddy” wouldn’t ever again!
Sheila eventually tensed up, so Deacon knew she must be thinking about what happened in the alley that night.
Nevertheless, Sheila was determined to focus on happy memories – like the time Deacon closed the restaurant early and treated her to a special night out.
There was a flashback of Deacon and Sheila dancing before Sheila declared that meant the world to her.
After Deacon wondered “what the hell” was going on between Sheila and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), he praised Sheila for being an evil genius.
Sheila provided an offscreen explanation about the blackmail and bribed judge.
Deacon was still confused over Bill taking pity on Sheila, who confirmed she was in a relationship with him and living at Bill’s estate.
Although Deacon was happy for Sheila, he asked how much she was in love with Bill and how much she was using him.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Deacon and Sheila’s lingering bond could lead to issues, so stay tuned!
