Remember when Reese Witherspoon fangirled all over Kate Middleton last year when she came to Los Angeles and then for weeks after all Reese could do was talk about how much she loved the Duchess and how she hoped they’d be besties for life? Then there were all those amazing stories about how Kate and Prince William actually sent Reese a Union Jack onesie after they found out she was pregnant with her third kid. Ya, well… that’s still happening. Or, at least, Star magazine wants us to believe it is because it’s reporting Kate is relying on America’s fecund sweetheart for baby advice during her pregnancy.
“They have developed a very strong bond. Kate knows Reese would never reveal anything about their talks and Reese knows what it’s like to live in the spotlight. They have a lot in common,” a source said. “Kate talks to Reese about all of her questions and concerns. She has become kind of an older sister Kate can confide in.”
Oh, for f-ck’s sake. Are you kidding me? With all of the people fawning to be Kate’s one and only girlfriend we are to believe she’s turning to a woman who named her kid Tennessee? Having said that, would you totally hate me if I said I secretly want this to be true? Because unlike some other celebrity moms (I’m looking at you Tori Spelling, Jessica Simpson, and Gwyneth Paltrow) I don’t think Reese would be all insufferable about the dos and don’ts of motherhood. Like I don’t think she’d hate you if you told her you didn’t want to breast feed, you know? I feel like because she’s from Nashville whenever her kid falls and scrapes his knee she just tells him to stop crying and put some dirt on it. Is that just me? Or is she probably just as know-it-all as my Gwyneth when it comes to baby advice? Kate Middleton is surrounded by handlers constantly. The last thing she needs is another person telling her how she should do things.
