Soap Fans United Announces High Energy Rally to Welcome Back 'One Life to Live' and 'All My Children'!

One thing celebrities and movies and tv shows — and simply anything in the Celeb World — depends on is the energetic support from fan bases. The soap world is no different. It wasn’t long ago when soap opera fans were dealt some devastating news: All My Children and One Life to Live would be taken off the air. Well, due to fervent fan support and relentless encouraging, two of the world’s most-loved soap operas are being relaunched and reintroduced to television via Prospect Park’s The Online Network. And fans have a lot to cheer about.

Why not start with a “welcome back” rally that’s sure to get the soap opera community pumped up and excited about the upcoming premieres? Fans are planning to do just that, not only to celebrate the future return of their beloved shows but to recognize all their efforts in making this relaunch possible.

The rally will be held in front of the Connecticut Film Center (300 Stillwater Avenue, Stamford, CT, 06902), where shows are currently being produced, and will take place on Monday, March 18th (11:00AM – 6:00PM). Fans of both shows are encouraged to attend the rally to express their deep appreciation for the cast and crew of the shows that undoubtedly played — and will continue to play — such a special role in their daily lives.

With the help of Soap Fans United, several thousands of fans across the country made their voices heard by employing social media to organize boycotting, telephone, and letter-writing campaigns since the soaps’ cancellations in April 2011.

The rebirth of All My Children and One Life to Live just goes to show everyone that if you raise your voice high enough, if you throw your hands up in the air with a charming cause and passion, that anything is possible. Even in the entertainment industry. See, they really do listen!

AMC & OLTL are scheduled to premiere on  April 29th on Hulu, Hulu Plus, and will also be available on iTunes.
