WWE SummerSlam Matches and Winner Predictions - Who Will Win on Wrestling's Second Biggest Stage?

Trying to predict which way WWE will go these days is not nearly as easy as it was even one year ago. That is good news for WWE fans everywhere and it is a good sign that things are headed in the right direction. The feuds are hot and the matches are all fairly well booked. It has been quite some time since WWE had this many solid storylines going for one PPV and the results should be epic. Although the matches could all go in multiple directions, here are my picks for who will come away as winners at SummerSlam 2014:

WWE World Heavyweight Championship –John Cena (c) vs. Brock Lesnar – This is the one match that I really have no clue which way it will go. Cena is in need of a solid win over Brock after having been abused by him in various other matches. Lesnar is booked as a monster that can’t be beat after ending the Streak against Undertaker. It could go either way but I think they will keep Lesnar’s power surge in place for now. Cena will be fine. Winner – Brock Lesnar

WWE Divas Championship —AJ Lee (c) vs. Paige – I fully expect this match to steal the show and for Paige to step to the front of the class. It is time for her to turn full heel and go back to her hardcore Diva style she showed in Nxt.
Winner – Paige

WWE Intercontinental Championship —The Miz (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler – If Dolph Ziggler does not take the Intercontinental Belt from Miz, the crowd will riot. This one is a no brainer as Dolph takes center stage and perhaps prepares for a major run with the belt.  Winner – Dolph Ziggler

Flag Match –Jack Swagger vs. Rusev – At this point, the WWE has to pretty much give Swagger the win. He has been whipped already a few times by this monster Rusev and it is SummerSlam….an American PPV staple. Swagger needs to win for America if nothing else.  Winner – Jack Swagger

Lumberjack Match —Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose – As much as the crowd will hate it, Seth Rollins will take this one in some way. Rollins is set to make a major run towards a championship and his entire heel turn could be compromised with a loss here. Ambrose can easily be booked strong but walk away with a tainted loss.  Winner – Seth Rollins

Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton – I am really looking forward to this one and have a great feeling about what it will do for both characters. Orton has been magnificent in this feud so far and I expect him to come out of this strong. That said, I think Reigns will almost certainly get the win.  Winner – Roman Reigns

Bray Wyatt vs. Chris Jericho (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are banned from ringside) – This one will easily be Bray Wyatt. Chris Jericho is the ultimate professional and is fantastic at getting guys over. It is his time.  Winner – Bray Wyatt

Brie Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon – This one will be a ton of fun and could go a million directions too. My best guess is that Brie will get her revenge for a bit before Stephanie manages some type of swerve. Expect Nikki or Paige to be involved and become part of the Authority. That is my best guess.  Winner – Stephanie McMahon
