The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that some romantic shakeups are in the works. For starters, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Katie (Heather Tom) are gearing up for some summer loving. They’ll share a kiss in Monte Carlo and things should get even hotter down the road. Wyatt will face some resistance from Katie, but he’ll work hard to win her over in the coming weeks.
The pairing of “Watie” helps us eliminate some partner options for other B&B characters – at least for the next couple months. Since Katie isn’t going to be free, that means she won’t be with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) anytime soon. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) may remain off the table, too. Her marriage to Bill (Don Diamont) is pretty solid at the moment.
Ridge could get together with Quinn (Rena Sofer), but it would kill her chances of reuniting with Eric (John McCook). Quinn may not be ready to give up on her hubby yet, even when he pushes for a divorce next week. With all that in mind, who’s left for Ridge? To figure that out, we have to look at what’s going on with his son.
Thomas (Pierson Fode) and Sally (Courtney Hope) could be headed for a rough patch thanks to Caroline (Linsey Godfrey). Will they split or simply be pushed to the brink? Regardless, Bill’s lies will eventually blow up and leave Caroline alone again. She’ll be heartbroken, but it’d be a mistake for the show to send her back to New York.
Thomas certainly isn’t the only man Caroline can be with. This might be the perfect time for a “CaRidge” reunion. Once the Thomas plan backfires, Caroline could lean on Ridge for support. They could reconnect as flawed human beings who messed up. Perhaps they’ll realize they’ve learned valuable lessons.
It might be nice to see a new level of maturity and acceptance between them. Linsey Godfrey and Thorsten Kaye have some great chemistry, so there’s no problem there. Plenty of people are hoping Caroline and Ridge will get back together at some point. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers hint that some interesting developments are brewing for Ridge, so this reunion could happen.
If B&B wants to add some drama, they could use this opportunity to change Douglas’ paternity. What if he was actually Ridge’s miracle baby? Thomas might research Caroline’s autoimmune disorder and grow fearful that she passed it on to their child. Some secret testing could lead to a shocking discovery.
Thomas would be crushed if he found out Douglas wasn’t really his son. That might pull a sympathetic Sally back in his orbit and pave the way to a “CaRidge” reconciliation.
