It was just yesterday that E.L. James the author of Fifty Shades of Grey made the announcement that she had found her stars for a movie adaptation of her mommy porn fan-fiction based novel. Sadly, it seems that many people aren’t too pleased with Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson starring in the movie.
Several fans of Fifty Shades of Grey are extremely disappointed and seriously angry over the choices E.L. James has made, now there’s a petition that’s going around wanting the producers to recast Matt Bomer as Christian Grey instead of Charlie Hunnam – and Alexis Bledel for Anastasia Steel; so far they have over 10,000 signatures.
A producer for the upcoming movie made an announcement on Twitter after seeing all the outrage fans have been showing, he tweeted “There is a lot that goes into casting that isn’t just looks. Talent, availability, their desire to do it, chemistry with other actor, etc. So if your favorite wasn’t cast, then it is most likely due to something on that list. Keep that in mind while hating and keep perspective.” What’s this fool saying – Charlie and Dakota are ugly?
Most of the fans of Fifty Shades of Grey I’m assuming are female and I don’t see why they’re complaining when it’s a choice that was agreed upon by the author. It’s her novel and she has no complaints, she knows her characters better than anyone.
