George Clooney Jealous of Ben Affleck’s Youthful Looks and Hot Women

OK! Magazine is reporting that George Clooney is jealous of Ben Affleck after he joked at the Oscars, “I really like [Ben], except for he’s tall and good looking.”

No doubt, George Clooney knows that Ben Affleck is younger and taller – but he’s George frickin Clooney. The guy is a legend, and plus – Ben Affleck is married and thus, unavailable [ahem, ahem]. What reasons does he have to be jealous? Even with his beard, women on the carpet were swooning. He’s become the first person since Walt Disney to be nominated for 6 different categories at the Oscars, and he’s won for producing and acting, something that’s a rare feat among even the most talented Hollywood A-listers.

However, Ben Affleck has something that George has always dreamed of – directing cred. While George Clooney’s directorial efforts have been solid and well praised, they haven’t been met with the kind of rapturous applause that Ben’s movies have. But is George Clooney really so petty? He seemed so, so happy for his friend during the Oscars, even letting him hog the limelight and give that long, rambling speech when ‘Argo’ won Best Picture.

It just seems like tabloids trying to pit two former Sexiest Men Alive against each other. Look how well the magazines sold when Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart were ‘fighting’. While there’s no doubt that George Clooney wishes he was as young as Ben Affleck, if only to date younger women, he seems to be in a good place in his career and personal life. He’s producing, directing, acting, and he’ll probably be at the Oscars again next year for August: Osage County, and then again for Monuments Men and the rumored Walt Disney biopic. And hey, Stacy Keibler has now lasted two whole awards seasons – anyone care to wager that she’ll last for a third, too?
