Apparently, Robert Pattinson can’t be friends with women. Every woman that he’s spotted with, whether it’s out in Los Angeles, at a bar, or while filming, is immediately linked to him. Rumors start spreading about a possible relationship or hookup, and several people have started assuming that Rob is sleeping his way through young Hollywood to stem the pain from his breakup with Kristen Stewart. It’s ridiculous, and frankly, a little insulting.
Ok, so starting from the beginning – people seem to not understand this, but Rob was the one who made the decision to break up with Kristen. While I’m sure he’s had his fair of flings and rebound hookups after he broke up with Kristen, he literally wouldn’t have time to be in all the relationships that the tabloids have linked him to in the past month. What happened with him and Katy Perry, well I’ll leave it to you guys to figure that out [wink]. But sources say that nothing concrete happened with him and Riley Keough [a.k.a. while they may have slept together, they were never dating], and the latest rumors of his dalliance with Sarah Gadon are false.
Rob and Sarah were spotted filming David Cronenberg’s next film Maps to the Stars in Canada, and tabloids immediately jumped on their relationship, calling it a romance in the making. Well, our sources say that Rob and Sarah know each other well after filming Cosmopolis, and because of that familiarity, they are very comfortable with each other. Since tabloids seem to mistake comfort, familiarity, and friendship with DATING!, the rumors started spreading.
Now, we’re not saying it can’t happen in the future. Just that right now, Rob’s trying to focus on the work and not let his private life affect his professional one. Besides, I don’t think he’ll make the mistake of dating a co-star again – at least, not right now.
