Frankie Grande Big Brother 16 Spoilers: Why I Smiled A Little When He Was Eliminated and Went to Jury

Frankie Grande was eliminated and went to the jury on Big Brother 16 Tuesday Night and I was pretty thrilled to see it. Frankie seemed resigned to his fate and to his credit, he made the most of it. His flamboyant Big Brother 16 exit was in true Frankie style and was entertaining to say the least. Despite his flounce and bounce, I was actually a little bit happy to see him go. I liked Frankie for the better part of the season, but that changed as time went on.

Here are 3 reasons why I could not help but be happy about Frankie’s eviction:

It guarantees a non-celebrity to win the prize – This is the biggest factor for me and reflects how I feel about the show in general. Big Brother was meant to be about real life people in a celebrity world. Not the other way around. I love the fact that famous people show up and help to put some fun into the show, but I have no interest in watching them unfairly compete with other houseguests. Celebrities do have an advantage as we saw with the America’s Team Nominations.

Frankie was sneaky dishonest – I know that Big Brother 16 spoilers show dishonesty is a necessity. I get that. That is not the dishonesty I speak of. I am talking about his communications with us, the viewers. Frankie constantly was trying to put himself over with America as the “honor bound” player that would never do wrong. Short of Derrick, he was the sneakiest player in the game. At least Derrick came before the cameras and admitted what he was doing and why.

Frankie seemed fake – While Frankie was not the only contestant to have this problem, he was certainly the most vocal and out with it. Frankie would constantly mention things that made him “better” or more important than the others throughout the season. His need to reveal his famous heritage is a perfect example. There was no reason to do that other than to try to garner attention and lift his profile in the house. A humble guy would have seen that for the mistake it was. I just tired of his pony show every time the cameras came on live. The Frankie you saw on the live show and the Frankie in the Big Brother 16 spoilers and live feeds were especially different. America notices these things.

I am sure that Frankie is a wonderful guy and outside the home, might be an entirely different fellow. He certainly was a fantastic Big Brother 16 game player. In many eyes, he was the only one that would give Derrick a run for his money at final two. That said, he was just not my cup of tea.

So long Frankie and good luck with your future endeavors!
