Kim Kardashian has visited a with divorce lawyer secretly over fears that Kanye West will try to win custody of North West when the couple split. We’ve been saying over and over again that it’s only a matter of time before Kim Kardashian files for divorce from Kanye West and the rumors that the marriage is over and the couple are de facto separated are getting louder. It was no accident that Kanye skipped Kim’s Art Basel VIP dinner and she was stuck taking Jonathan Cheban as her ‘date.’ It’s gotten to that point where Kim really doesn’t need Kanye anymore, not for an ego boost and certainly not for her career. Kim Kardashian’s nude Paper Magazine photoshoot proved that there are still plenty of people willing to buy the goods that Kim is selling, so long as they come au naturel.
Plus, Kanye West has long been controlling, manipulative, and downright distant when he really should be loving, supportive, and caring. To him, the world revolves around his desires and his wishes and anything else is blasphemy. For example, Kanye West spent Thanksgiving having dinner with a bunch of his bros in Paris, abandoning Kim Kardashian and North West in Los Angeles. Imagine how little Kim and Kanye care about each other for them to not even bother to arrange to be together at such a traditonal family time. Kim slammed Kanye indirectly for that snub. Remember, this is a couple with a toddler child, and they’re not even spending Thanksgiving together?
Besides that, Kanye is constantly trying to control who Kim sees, when she sees them, what she does, and how she goes about her life. He’s already put the kibosh on too much family time, and he makes all the decisions regarding North West’s education and upbringing. And to top it all off, Kim Kardashian has to suck it up and eat it, otherwise she’ll be threatened with divorce and a wicked custody battle.
So really, is it any surprise that Kim is jumping on the divorce bandwagon before he does? A source tells Radar Online, “Kim was furious he dumped her and North for the holiday and mortified that she had to show up at Khloe’s [house] alone. It was the last straw for her. She’s getting ready to file divorce papers.”
Although her rep denies it, sources confirm that Kim has already met with a big time LA lawyer, and she’s getting ready to serve Kanye West with a big fat divorce notice as soon as the time is right. Note that we are almost one month into Kanye and Kim’s de facto separation.
