Selena Gomez is trying her best to shake off the useless dead weight that is her boyfriend, Justin Bieber. According to several sources, Selena is fully intent on getting back to work now, despite the fact that she’s been partying, drunk, and stoned pretty much for the last six months straight. And every single time she tried to focus on her ‘acting’ or ‘music’ for the last two years, she would instead go on vacations with Justin and get sucked back into his non-stop hellhole of partying, drugs, partying, and drugs.
So it’s not with a small amount of foresight that we question whether Selena Gomez can actually pull this off. She may want to focus on her career, but is Hollywood ready to welcome her back – especially with the chance that she’ll go run off with her boyfriend the first chance she gets? Hollywood is a fickle, fickle place, and they’re especially fickle to former Disney pop stars who have still to prove their box office worth. Selena Gomez is by no means a boz office draw, even if she has droves and droves of teenage fans. Right now, the public knows about her more for her personal issues and her relationship with Justin Bieber than her own merit. If Selena wants to change that, the first thing she’ll have to do is dump Justin. But since Selena shows no signs of doing that, I think it’s safe to say that she’ll be facing an uphill climb towards regaining her career.
