And here come the influx of Super Bowl commercials in 3…2….1…. tada! In the week leading up the Superbowl, we’re constantly battered by many, many, many commercials, all hoping to win us over with their charm and wit. Seriously though, it seems like advertisers actually spend more time and effort on these Superbowl ads than they do on anything else all year round. And that means that the end result is Super Bowl ads that are charming and funny, and often more interesting than the big game itself.
The latest ad that we’ve been hit with is the Chobani Yogurt ad, which features a large bear and an US Weekly. I know, weird combination – but it works! The ad shows a large [but adorable] bear ransacking a store looking for Chobani yogurt, but before it can find the yogurt, it comes across a copy of the weekly tabloid US Weekly – and needless to say, it’s not impressed. Damn, US Weekly shade. Whoever came up with this ad must not be a fan, huh?
Anyway, the bear does eventually find the yogurt, and its happiness is almost tangible. Yay, Chobani Yogurt. I didn’t even know your brand name before this, but now even I have an unexplainable urge to have Chobani now. Ok, not really – but the ad was cute! And they’ll only get better and better from here, which gives us something to look forward to. Especially if, like me, you’re not the biggest fan of football to begin with.
