In Season 7 of True Blood, spoilers indicate that Bill Compton [Stephen Moyer] and Sookie Stackhouse [Anna Paquin] might end up back together. True Blood’s seventh season premiere recently aired, and fans are fully prepared to tune into HBO every Sunday night for the beginning of the end. However, despite fan outcries to the contrary, neither Anna Paquin nor Stephen Moyer seem all that enthused about their characters getting back together on the show.
It’s particularly funny considering that they’re actually together in real life, but they seem to be looking at it from a story point of view. Stephen recently shared to TV Line, “What Bill did was open up something inside her that she had never had before. He was the key to a new world for her. And maybe that’s all he was supposed to be — a window into that world …”
Hmmm… We do know that Bill, Sookie, and Alcide Herveaux [Joe Manganiello] are going to embroiled in a little love triangle this season, even though Sookie and Alcide were in a relationship last time we checked. Stephen did add that he personally doesn’t care what happens, but that’s not what his comments sounded like.
If anything, he’s very clearly invested in their relationship since he spent seven years on the show, and fans are still rooting for the Bill-Sookie pairing to pay off. Many fans consider them to be the show’s ‘endgame’, i.e. the couple that’s supposed to end up together — regardless of what else happens.
Honestly, I’m guessing that we’re going to get some sort of over-the-top death to help resolve this love triangle quicker. We’ve already heard whispers that Alcide or Bill could die, but in addition to serving as a major story point, it would also resolve this little triangle in one fell swoop. True Blood already underwent a major character death in the first episode, so we know they’re not going to be afraid of holding anything back this season…
