Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have opted to spend time apart after rumors that “The Voice” coaches plan to elope gave Miranda Lambert’s ex, the “Sangria” singer, cold feet. Gwen and Blake have been going hot and heavy ever since announcing their relationship back in November.
Even when “The Voice” co-stars can’t be with each other, they are talking, texting or Facetiming because they just can’t stand to spend a minute apart.
Gwen and Blake are together so often and look so happy that fans have been talking about how the two singers should just get married. Well apparently Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton got so caught up in their own whirlwind that Stefani suggested they just elope. It would be totally up Gwen’s alley to just throw caution to the wind and marry Blake in a quickie ceremony.
One thing is holding the musical couple back and that is the fact that both Gwen and Blake have to finalize their respective divorces before any eloping can even happen. The forced pause on their wedding plans got Blake Shelton thinking about just how fast their love train is moving and he decided to take a few precautions and slow down the momentum a little bit.
The first order of business for Blake and Gwen is to spend a bit of time apart and not in constant communication. Gwen accomplished that feat on Sunday, December 6 when she showed up to church sans Blake Shelton. Gwen did have two of her sons in tow, Kingston, 9, followed behind Stefani while she carried Apollo, 1.
Gwen Stefani looked depressed as she walked with her boys and many assumed there was something wrong in her relationship. That isn’t the case at all though and hopefully Gwen and Blake have realized that they have to stop obsessing over each other before they burn out.
It’s been a very busy year for both superstars and there have been a lot of changes to both their lives. Now that the excitement of sneaking around has worn off, Gwen and Blake are now figuring out how to have a happy relationship without being tied together nonstop.
