Jada Pinkett Smith is quitting FOX’s hit TV show Gotham so that she can spend time with husband Will Smith and save their marriage. In March, news broke that Jada and Will Smith’s 17 year marriage was on the rocks and the couple was on the verge of divorce because Will was allegedly cheating on his wife with his costar Margot Robbie. Jada was furious when photos surfaced of Will and Margot in a photo booth all over each other, and since then she has been paranoid that her husband was going to leave her for his young hot costar – the duo is currently working on another movie together.
According to the April 13th edition of OK! Magazine, “The secret reason the 43-year-old actress won’t return for Season 2 of FOX’s critically acclaimed show Gotham is to focus on her relationship with Will Smith, her husband of 17 years. Recently divorce rumors have dogged the couple fueled by reports that Will got too cozy with his Focus costar Margot Robbie.” OK! Magazine’s Hollywood insider dished, “Jada enjoyed her time on the show but she and Will have issues. She can’t afford to be on set right now.”
What woman wouldn’t want to keep a close eye on her husband if the world keeps saying he is cheating on her? But we’re a little disappointed that Jada Pinkett Smith would give up her major comeback on a hit show like Gotham to follow her husband around and make sure he doesn’t cheat on her. After 17 years of marriage, you shouldn’t have to babysit your husband. You should be able to step out do your own thing and follow your own dreams.
