Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards has checked herself into rehab, and is seeking the help she needs to get her life back together. The inside source, who is close with the family and very familiar with the situation, says that Kim has checked herself into a live-in rehab facility in Malibu, that specializes in substance abuse. They source goes onto say that Kim Richards made the decision after speaking with her family about her problems.
TMZ goes on to say that Richards has chosen to stay at the rehabilitation center for “as long as it takes,” and that she is making a true effort to get help so that she can have control over her life again.
This news comes only days after Kim Richards was arrested for public intoxication. If you recall, the reality star was having a dinner party with friends at Beverly Hills a few days ago, when Richards decided to have a little to much to drink.
One source who was at the venue says, “She became loud, yelling and laughing at other people. She was slurring, and people were moving away because they didn’t want to be on the receiving end of her comments. She was past the point of being reasonable.”
After she began making scene, workers at the Beverly Hills Hotel Polo Lounge called security in an attempt to remove Richards from the premises. She proceeded to use the restroom, and locked herself in the bathroom, refusing to come out.
Kim Richards, who’s addiction struggle has been seen on RHOBH, will discuss her recent arrest in an exclusive interview with Dr. Phil, that will air on Tuesday, April 28. In a sneak peak of the interview she says, “I was angry and frightened and I was scared. I knew what I had done. The whole night is my fault. None of this would have happened if I didn’t drink.”
