Nina Dobrev is disgusted about Nikki Reed gloating over being engaged and getting married to Ian Somerhalder and who can blame her! Sorry to any of the remaining Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder fans out there, Nikki Reed is about to crush any last vestiges of hope you have left. Nikki was interviewed at the Sundance Film Festival, and when asked about her plans to marry Ian, her reply was, “Life is really great right now. And I’m so excited for the future.”
As well know, Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder got engaged earlier this month, but it’s hilarious that Nikki is pretending to keep her marriage plans on the low down. As IF they’re not going to Instagram, Tweet, and famewhore their way through that wedding. We’ve been getting PDA photos from literally the day that Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder started going out, and apparently, what started out as a showmance turned into the real thing. I mean, that happens a lot in Hollywood, especially because there’s only so long you can fake this kind of thing, no? Ian and Nikki may have started dating to boost their PR as a publicity stunt, but they’re engaged now – and this isn’t the Bachelor or Bachelorette, where an engagement is an unavoidable prospect.
Either way, Nikki and Ian might be attempting to play coy, but everybody close to the situation knows it’s only a matter of time before the dam bursts. Nina Dobrev knows from painful experience what a famewhore Ian Somerhalder is and she won’t be surprised to see the couple continue to use their relationship for major PR. Neither Ian nor Nikki will be able to resist social media-ing their wedding and marriage plans, so we should probably expect to hear about it fairly soon. And in terms of the actual wedding date, I would imagine that it’ll be either in the next few months or over the summer.
