Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder To Work Together After The Vampire Diaries or Avoid Each Other In Hollywood?

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are going their separate ways after Nina announced her departure from The Vampire Diaries, but some of our sources are saying that might not be true. How is that possible? Well, there are mixed reports about this, but how do any exes operate in Hollywood? Some stay friends, and some stay frenemies, and some just avoid each other whenever possible [cough, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart].

In this case, Nina and Ian dated for several years, and had an allegedly contentious breakup. However, they have also been forced to stay on decent-to-good terms for the last year, especially because they’ve still had to film many romantic and intimate scenes together. Not exactly conducive for cutting off communications, no?

But now that Nina has finally, finally ended her stint on The Vampire Diaries, the question becomes – is she ever going to work with Ian again, or will they just avoid each other in Hollywood, just as they’ve been pseudo-avoiding each other on set?

Some people say that Nina and Ian are open to working together again, especially if it’ll bring in the young demographic that made The Vampire Diaries such a hit. Others are saying that one of the biggest reasons Nina even left the show was because she didn’t want to work with Ian anymore, which would suggest that she never wants to work with him again. But if they both land a big studio movie and the stipulation is that they have to work together – come on, of course they’ll do it.

What do you guys think? Will Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder ever work together again, or has their professional relationship come to an end? Will The Vampire Diaries mark the end of their working collaboration, or will they end up working together on another movie/TV show in the future? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
