There is a social media war between Kristen Stewart, FKA Twigs and Robert Pattinson being played out on Twitter and Instagram by Twilight and Robsten fans and their detractors. There is a reason Kristen Stewart doesn’t have an Instagram account – the Internet is a brutal place for celebrities, especially the leading ladies in Robert Pattinson’s life. Twilight fans and “Robsten” supporters were in an uproar this month when one of FKA Twigs’ friends got on social media and began slamming Kristen Stewart fans. FKA Twigs’ pal ranted that Kristen Stewart was a lesbian now and Robsten fans needed to get lives – he even went as far as to tell one of them to “go commit suicide.”
We have zero tolerance for cyber-bullying, and the things that FKA Twigs’ friend said to Kristen Stewart’s fans was wrong on every level. But, there are two sides to every story. FKA Twigs’ pal may have gone too far – but some Kristen Stewart fans and Robsten supporters have said just as horrible things to FKA Twigs, and made some comments that are even worse. Robsten fans, furious that Robert Pattinson got engaged to Twigs, have bombarded her social media pages with racist comments and hateful slurs about her skin color.
The Twilight fandoms want nothing more than to see Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson reunite, but at this point the odds of that happening are slimmer than pigs flying. If Robsten fans were truly as devoted to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as they claim to be on the Internet, then they would want their favorite celebs to be happy at the end of the day – even if it is with other people, like FKA Twigs.
