“The Young and the Restless” spoilers tease that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Justin Hartley) will start their new life together. Chelsea ultimately decided that allowing Adam to reveal his true identity would only cause more pain. With that in mind, Gabriel (Justin Hartley) is now simply Gabriel and nothing more. However, we all know they won’t be able to hide the truth forever. Adam already told Chelsea how his lies had snowballed and it appears he’s trapped in them. In fact, Adam still has a few pesky secrets he’s keeping from Chelsea.
First, we have the biggie. In a brief moment of desperation, Adam slept with Sage (Kelly Sullivan). It’s surprising that Chelsea hasn’t put two and two together to realize that Sage could very well be pregnant with Adam’s child. Naturally, “The Young and the Restless” has to stagger these reveals to give Y&R viewers some nice plot points and exciting drama along the way. Chelsea will eventually learn the truth, but it’s probably something they can work through. If Chelsea can get past everything that Adam has kept from her over the last year, there’s a good chance they can overcome just about anything.
Nick (Joshua Morrow), on the other hand, won’t be too happy to learn what Adam and Sage have been hiding. We also have the issue of Adam lying about Gabe being an Abbott. The whole Abbott clan will unleash their wrath when the secret comes out. Before we get there, we have to remember that Adam is also hiding the fact that Jack had an impostor. On top of that, we have Marisa (Sofia Pernas) in the picture. That’s another deal Adam has in play. Granted, Adam has been forced into a lot of these situations through blackmail, but it still means he’s going to have a lot of secrets to juggle.
Unfortunately, Adam made a very crucial mistake. Adam wanted to live his new life as Gabriel, but he couldn’t be satisfied with flying under the radar. Instead, Adam had to take Victor (Eric Braeden) for everything he had. It seems Adam’s pride will be his downfall. With Victoria (Amelia Heinle) feeding Victor info and Marisa hinting around, he should have the inside scoop in no time. Even Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is practically Victor’s minion with all the updates she keeps giving him.
Plus, Victor can bribe his way to any other information he pleases. It’s almost hard to believe Victor doesn’t know Gabe’s secret already. Now Victor is on a mission to take Gabriel down and in the process, he’ll likely learn that his own son just sent him to jail. We don’t know for sure how Victor will get the news, but nobody can fool Victor indefinitely. The rumors say Victor may try to get revenge. Stay tuned to “The Young and the Restless” to see if Victor can get to the bottom of things.
