General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Ava Jerome (Maura West) has underestimated her traveling companion Nikolas Cassadine (Nick Stabile) and she will soon discover something very unsettling at the Cassadine Island mansion.
Ava finds something that belonged to Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) and this possession is not just a simple trinket but a piece of evidence that links Nikolas to a possible crime. Once Ava discovers the evidence, she wonders what Nik’s agenda is.

But instead of keeping what she finds to herself, Ava decides to go the direct route and confronts Nikolas about what she found. Ava already has an idea of what she thinks Nikolas has been up to and what’s motivating him to do what he’s done.
So what is this evidence and what does it indicate that Nikolas has been up to? Since the item is Helena’s we have to wonder whether it’s something sinister or everyday. Does this tie back to what Helena left in her will?
Remember that Helena left Nikolas pretty much nothing except a creepy portrait of herself. In the portrait, she was sitting in her chair, in regal red, and drinking tea. Next to her on the table was a teapot and you can see the reflection of a man in the teapot.
General Hospital spoilers have teased that Helena’s portrait could indicate that she knows that Nikolas poisoned her favorite beverage. But other GH spoilers hint that it could have been someone else that took out the evil Cassadine matriarch and the portrait was a way to warn Nikolas.
We also know that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is on Cassadine Island – although he’ll introduce himself as Theo – and he might be embroiled in this. Was Valentin around on the island even before Helena died?
Was she his captive? Or has Theo waited until Helena died and then invaded the Cassadine compound? When Ava confronts Nikolas, the conversation will be interesting. After all, Nikolas knows that Ava is a killer herself.
Will Nikolas bother to deny what he’s done or will he be forthright with Ava since she is already neck deep in his dirty secrets? If Nikolas did poison Helena, did he unintentionally clear the way for Valentin to come back and take over the family compound?
This whole incident feels like Helena is haunting the family from beyond the grave. Plus, no matter what Nikolas says, does or knows, General Hospital spoilers reveal that there is a lot going at Cassadine Island that Nikolas knows nothing about.
Nikolas has some secrets he’s been keeping from Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) and Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) but there’s other things going on that he’s clueless about – and these may tie back to Valentin and his revenge agenda.
The bottom line is, no matter what Nikolas tells Ava about what she found – even if he admits guilt for something dark and dirty, he’s not the most dangerous person on Cassadine Island and it won’t be long before everyone realizes that.
