Queen Elizabeth can’t believe Carole Middleton is taking credit for Kate Middleton’s work ethic. She is absolutely appalled that Carole is taking credit for her daughter’s work ethic when she’s long fought with the Duchess to be more involved in her charities and royal engagements.
The Duchess of Cambridge has long been criticized for doing too little in the public eye. Plenty of royal observers have slammed both Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William for doing too little work even though they take multiple vacations each year. Yet her mother Carole Middleton believes all three of her children are hard workers who have gone as far as they have thanks to their work ethic.
In a new interview with People Magazine, royal observer Ingrid Seward credits Carole Middleton for apparently raising the ‘next generation of royals.’ She says that it’s Carole Middleton who has taught her children the value of hard work. Ingrid explains, “She has encouraged her children and supported them and been there for them, and set a good work ethic for them.”
Carole believes she’s the one who has helped encourage her daughter to be where she is today. Yet many critics have long said that the only thing Kate has ever done is pursue Prince William for over a decade before he finally settled and married her.
If that weren’t enough, many fans and critics alike have said that Prince William and Kate Middleton are the laziest royal couple in the spotlight. For years both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would only do one royal engagement per month even though other members of the family would put in double or even triple the work.
At one point, Kate even used her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, as an excuse to cancel public appearances. It wasn’t until the Queen stepped in and gave both Kate and Will an ultimatum: either shape up or ship out.
