General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that we’ve got the scoop on an exciting new project. GH fans were bummed when the show decided to fire Rebecca Budig and send Hayden off canvas. On the bright side, they left everyone with a bit of hope since Hayden lied about her miscarriage. She’ll have to reenter the picture with a kid eventually!
In the meantime, Budig’s been working on another great gig. Her voice was featured as a character in a new audiobook. Folded Notes From High School will give anyone who grew up in the ‘90s a taste of nostalgia. Matt Boren is the author of this fun teen comedy, which is told through – you guessed it – folded notes. These notes connect several crucial characters with surprising results.
It sounds like an inventive story that might interest GH viewers. After all, high school drama can be awfully soapy! Budig plays Tricia Simms, but she isn’t the only name you might recognize on the cast list. Christina Applegate and Selma Blair are two other big names involved in this project.
Of course, there are plenty of other fantastic voices that contribute to the audio version of this book. Adam Shapiro, Taylor Spreitler, Katie Lowes, Ramy Youssef, Ryan Newman, Meredith Salenger and Vicki Davis all had roles in this project. Even the author himself voiced a character. It seems Boren wanted to be involved in telling this story since he’s the one who wrote it.
Since the audiobook recently became available, Budig send out a tweet about it. She seems thrilled with the finished project. Budig even offered an admission about her own high school experience. “So excited to be a part of this really great book,” Budig said. “I wrote many a folded note.” Budig urged her fans to check it out, so be sure to do that if you want to hear her take on a new role.
As for what’s ahead on GH, you never know when Hayden might make a comeback. The show’s always looking for ways to make Finn’s (Michael Easton) life more complicated! The return of his lying ex and their baby would certainly achieve that. If General Hospital spoilers surface on the possibility, we’ll definitely fill you in.
