The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy’s (Jason Thompson) actions may come back to haunt him. In Friday’s episode, a furious Billy dumps Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and throws her out of the Abbott mansion. He decides he’s officially done, which sets the stage for some steaminess. Billy ends up in Summer’s (Hunter King) bed, so this is a hot mess!
Y&R fans know that Summer spent plenty of time pursuing Billy. She was determined to make him her conquest, but she ultimately gave up and declared Kyle (Michael Mealor) the bet winner. Since then, Summer’s been moping over the distance Kyle’s created between them. His feelings ran deeper than hers – or so she thought.
Based on how Summer’s been acting, she may have some lingering love for Kyle after all. That could be part of why she agrees to sex with Billy. Maybe she thinks she can shove Kyle out of her mind. Of course, lust is another factor. Summer admitted that she finds Billy attractive and there also seems to be some attraction on his end. Now that Billy’s single, why shouldn’t they hit the sheets?
However, the biggest reason for this sex session is Phyllis. There’s no better way to hurt her and that goes for both of them. Billy craves revenge for Phyllis’ betrayal with Nick (Joshua Morrow). Summer’s got her own mommy issues, so this is a good dose of vengeance. There’s a chance both Billy and Summer will battle remorse afterward, but there’s no mistaking what they want in his moment.
Naturally, this opens the door to a potential pregnancy storyline. Could Summer get knocked up after this night of passion? It’d be awfully soapy if she finds out she’s pregnant by her mom’s ex! Since Billy and Phyllis may not be truly over, that could really add to the drama. If they get back together, Summer’s bun in the oven could destroy them all over again.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy’s set to do a rehab stint. That could give Summer time to find out she’s carrying his baby and mull it over. Billy could have a huge surprise waiting when he gets back. He might return expecting to apologize to Phyllis and reunite. Instead, Summer could reveal that she’s going to have a little Abbott.
There’s no guarantee Summer would actually give birth to the kid. Miscarriages are quite common on soaps, so that’d be an easy out if Y&R wanted to take it. Until then, The Young and the Restless could certainly shake things up! This could severe Phyllis and Summer’s relationship like never before.
