The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that a stunning death will put Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) return in motion. He’ll come home with Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri), who will struggle to understand the situation. Of course, that info tells us Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey) is being killed off. Thomas will obviously have to find out how to deal with all this as a single father.
Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) will immediately connect with Thomas over his grief. She’s been drowning it for a while now, so she’s pretty much a grief expert. Hope can’t tell Thomas how to get a grip on his mourning, but she can offer support. Just knowing he’s not alone in his heartache may help Thomas start to heal.
B&B spoilers say Hope will also bond with Douglas. They’ll get in the kitchen to do some baking and try to take Douglas’ mind off his troubles. It’ll be tough for the kid to lose his mother, especially as such a young age. Hope may be able to help Douglas by talking about her own loss. She may let Douglas know that it’s OK to be sad and open up when he needs to. That’s something Hope’s learning to do.
Hope will undoubtedly open up even more to Thomas in the coming weeks, which could leave Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) feeling left out. Thomas will be deeply moved by Hope’s kindness and concern for Douglas. Liam, on the other hand, may feel like Hope’s found a new obsession. If he calls her out on it, Hope could easily rip into her husband. She may think Liam’s being insensitive to people in pain.
This could become a huge obstacle in Hope and Liam’s marriage. Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) thought taking the babies with her to Paris might help, but she couldn’t have anticipated Douglas’ return to town. Hope pushed Liam to be a family with Steffy and the girls, but Hope could end up building a new one of her own. Will she eventually divorce Liam to be with Thomas?
The idea of a built-in child would be awfully appealing. Douglas already exists, so Hope can let her maternal instinct shine through without fear of losing another baby. As for Liam, The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say he may powerless to stop this. The crushing loss he faced with Hope may leave their relationship stuck in the past. Thomas and Douglas could represent a brighter future.
