The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) has been seriously conflicted lately. He’s been supporting Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) in her desire to protect and care for Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) for some time now, and that was relatively easy for him to do while Thomas Forrester (Mathew Atkinson) was out of the picture.
But then Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) got involved and had papers drawn up so that Liam and Hope could terminate Thomas’ parental rights and adopt Douglas. As B&B viewers know, this completely took Liam by surprise, and he tried to protest. Sure, Liam loves Douglas and wants only what’s best for him, but he thought that adoption at this point seemed to be a bit much. ‘
Liam stated pretty clearly that he was already stretched thin between Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) and Kelly Spencer (Chloe Teperman and Zoe Pennington). Plus, Liam noted that despite what they all think of Thomas, he is Douglas’ father and should be given the chance to change and be the kind of dad that Douglas deserves. But none of this really went over well with Brooke or Hope, who didn’t seem to listen to Liam’s concerns at all.
And according to The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers, Hope won’t give up on her plan to adopt Douglas, even though Douglas is off living with Thomas now. And this leads us to wonder just how much of this Liam is going to take. B&B spoilers say that he’ll find himself uncomfortable with Hope’s plan to go to the Forrester Halloween party, where she’ll plan on manipulating Thomas into giving her joint custody of Douglas. But it seems that Hope will barrel on ahead with her plan anyway.
And while all of this is going on, Liam will be reconnecting with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in some important ways. The two of them will spend Halloween together while Hope is off on her mission to get joint custody of Douglas, and it seems that Liam and Steffy will have a great evening together with the girls. They’ll revel in the time together and in their forever bond.
One wonders whether Liam will start to question whether being with Hope is the right choice for him – after all, he might be starting to feel like Brooke has more of a voice in his relationship with Hope than he does. And if he really doesn’t want to take on raising Douglas, and Hope persists with her quest to bring him into their home even part-time, Liam might start to wonder if he should be spending more time with Steffy, where things seem easier and less complicated.
Yet, there’s another development that will soon rock Liam’s world…he’s going to learn that Steffy is dating again. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say he’ll be stunned by that news and clearly won’t have expected Steffy to move on with her life so soon. He might also be surprised that she’s moving on at the same time that the two of them have been getting along so well. It seems that just as Liam is thinking about the possibility of being a family with Steffy again, she’ll have moved on and be dating a new man!
We’ll see how Liam handles the situations he’ll face, with Hope trying to get custody of Douglas and with Steffy moving on. Of course, since this is waffling Liam that we’re talking about, he probably won’t end up doing much about either situation. Or, he could decide to uncharacteristically take charge and tell both Hope and Steffy what he thinks about what they’re doing, which could get interesting.
