The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, May 1, tease that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will worry about Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Y&R fans know Devon was devastated by Hilary Hamilton’s (Mishael Morgan) death, but he worked hard to move forward. He was finally starting to heal, but Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) demise has brought another crushing setback.
Abby has been in Devon’s orbit thanks to the new restaurant, so their friendship has grown stronger lately. She’ll wish there was something she could do to help, but Devon just has to grieve right now. He can’t rush this process or predict how long it’ll take to get back on track.
On the bright side, Abby’s concern could help her bond with hunky Dr. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). He should be fretting over Devon as well, so this might get the ball rolling on a new romance. Regardless, Abby will definitely begin to fall for Nate during May sweeps.
Meanwhile, Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) will have an honest discussion with Jill Atkinson (Jess Walton). He’ll tell Jill that his marriage to Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) is officially ending, but it’s breaking his heart to give up. Cane will struggle to cope with the divorce, but Jill and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will offer plenty of support.
Speaking of Traci, she’ll need to get the creative juices flowing on Wednesday. Fortunately, Cane and Lily’s story should help out with that. Traci recently started a book about a handsome man with working-class Aussie roots. She wrote that he’s now quintessentially American and a master at reinventing himself.
It’s obvious that Traci’s using Cane as the inspiration for her main character. Lily will be the inspiration for the love interest, which explains some new Young and the Restless spoilers for May sweeps. Y&R viewers will still see Lily – just not in the way they might expect. That lines up perfectly with some fantasy scenes of Cane-ish and Lily-ish characters.
Finally, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may kick off his private paradise party for Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). He gets everything set up on Tuesday, so Wednesday might be when the fun begins. Even if there’s a bit of a delay, you can count on Kyle to show Lola a good time within the next couple episodes. A night of dancing and connecting will lead to lovemaking later this week.
