Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that after Orpheus (George DelHoyo) makes a break from Statesville with Clyde Weston (James Read), they’ll move forward with a team effort to get what they want. It turns out what Orpheus wants is his son’s freedom – and he’ll force Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) to help him get it.
Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly) was behind bars the last time fans saw him, but he apparently scored an offscreen transfer to Bayview. Of course, Orpheus scored a transfer of his own since he was in a maximum-security prison the last time he was mentioned.
DOOL really needed to make this blackout villain mayhem work, so don’t overthink the details!
The point is Evan is in Bayview, but Orpheus won’t want him to stay there. Although Orpheus may have issues with his son, he cares about Christian aka Evan in his own way. Family matters to Orpheus, so he’ll go to great lengths to make Evan a free man again.
Naturally, it makes sense for Orpheus to seek Marlena’s help for a couple reasons. For starters, Orpheus goes way back when it comes to tormenting Marlena and John Black (Drake Hogestyn). Every time Orpheus is on the loose, he has to make life miserable for John and Marlena. It’s just a given!
However, it also fits with the story since Marlena has the power to recommend a patient’s release. It looks like that’s where Marlena will come in. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Marlena will get a disturbing phone call, so Orpheus may call ahead to warn Marlena that Baby Henry’s been kidnapped by Clyde!
Regardless, the blackout will kick off in the week ahead and then Orpheus will push Marlena to fulfill his demands during the week of October 26-30. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Marlena will frantically work to get Evan out of Bayview.
She’ll show up and make a desperate plea for Evan’s release, which is bound to raise red flags.
It should be strange to Evan’s doctors and anyone else in charge when Dr. Evans shows up fighting for this. Not only is Evan Frears a killer, he’s the son of a man Marlena hates. Evan also let Marlena’s beloved grandson, Will Horton (Chandler Massey), sit in prison for a crime he didn’t commit.
There’s absolutely no reason why Marlena would help Evan if her grandson Henry wasn’t being secretly threatened, so it should be tough to sell this. It may set off alarm bells or at least stir up questions when Marlena feels so strongly about Evan going free ASAP.
Days spoilers say Marlena’s plan will definitely hit a snag, so she might even have to help Evan escape in the end. Whatever the case, Orpheus will be waiting impatiently! Marlena will find a way to deliver Evan to Orpheus, but you can bet even more snags are just around the corner.
