General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the news of Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) biological daughter is sure to shock many Port Charles residents – including Nina and Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier)! Nelle and Nina have no idea that they’re related, so this mother-daughter bombshell will definitely be a lot to take in.
Of course, word will eventually spread to the rest of PC. That means we’ll get to see the reactions of people like Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and more.
However, we want to focus on one particular reaction – and that’s the one that’ll come from Nina’s fake daughter, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). How will Sasha feel when she realizes Nelle’s sliding in the spot Sasha once pretended to fill?
GH fans will recall that Valentin hired Sasha to pose as Nina’s biological child. Valentin hoped he could win Nina back and make her happy by offering up the perfect daughter. Unfortunately, Nina was crushed and furious when she found out Sasha was a fraud.
Despite how everything went down, Nina still seems to care about Sasha. Likewise, Sasha hated hurting Nina in the end. With that in mind, Sasha may be quite concerned about Nelle taking advantage of her newfound daughter status. Whether Sasha warns Nina or not, she’s bound to feel protective of her former “mom.”
If Sasha does choose to say something, that could rev the tension up again. Nina might argue that Sasha’s a manipulator and has no room to talk. Naturally, it’s also possible Sasha will be so drugged up and out of it that she can’t focus on something like this.
General Hospital has set Sasha up for a drug addiction, so she may spiral out of control when new episodes return.
That could leave Sasha struggling to focus on anything besides drugs and her own pain. Sasha’s breakup with Michael has been brutal, especially because Michael still believes Sasha betrayed him.
That’s been tough for Sasha to handle – and so has Michael’s marriage to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), who recently became Mrs. Corinthos.
Will Sasha take a break from her own drama to show her protective side? Will Sasha express concern after Nelle’s revealed as Nina’s true daughter? This is the kind of thing that could add to Sasha’s woes and make her drug battle even worse!
Sasha may feel replaced and deeply disturbed by the thought of Nelle being the real deal.
