The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, April 27 – Jack Pursues Nikki, Makes Victor Pay – Katherine’s Imposter Faceoff

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, April 27, tease that the CBS soap will show the first episode of their “Katherine the Great” theme week. Monday will serve as a very dramatic kickoff since it’ll be all about Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) and her imposter! Y&R fans can expect plenty of excitement in this special encore show.

Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) will introduce this episode and offer up a few teasers before it begins. The Young and the Restless cast has been filming these great intros from home during the CBS production  shutdown, so it’s at least nice to see a glimpse of some fan favorites here and there!

Y&R doesn’t have any new episodes left and can’t make more until the COVID-19 aka coronavirus shutdown is over, so we’ll take what we can get.

Fortunately, this provides a chance to enjoy some fantastic moments of the past – and Monday’s episode has plenty of them. Here’s what to expect in this flashback episode with Katherine at the center of the action. Longtime viewers and new viewers alike should enjoy seeing some Katherine chaos.

For starters, Katherine and Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) form a desperate plan. In an effort to expose Katherine’s imposter and escape from captivity, Katherine needs Esther to come through for her.

Katherine runs down what Esther should do after she gives the signal. Katherine’s hoping Esther can locate the fuse box, pull the switch and knock the imposter, Marge, in the head with a large pan.

Esther’s afraid she’s not up for the challenge, but Katherine insists it’s a matter of life and death. Later, Katherine faces off with identical Marge. They spar as Katherine calls her an imposter, but Marge has no intention of giving up the cushy life she’s stolen from Katherine.

Esther’s eventually able to put the plan in motion and successfully knocks Marge out, which allows Katherine to make her getaway.

While Katherine heads back to the Chancellor Estate, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) visits his father’s bedside in the hospital. According to Young and the Restless spoilers for this encore episode, Jack makes a vow to John Abbott (Jerry Douglas). He declares that he’ll show Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) you don’t step over his dad.

Jack also speaks with Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton), who thinks Jack’s pursuing Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) because of his efforts to protect Jabot. Jack feels like it’s a win-win situation since he can make Nikki happy while saving the day for his family.

John’s in and out of consciousness, but Jack pushes his dad not to abandon the Abbotts and the company. Jack makes it clear that Victor’s going to pay!

Y&R fans can expect some terrific scenes in this special show, which first aired in 1990.
