General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, April 20 Recap – Carly Surrenders Florence, Nikolas Wins – Anna Ready to Kill Peter

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 20, reveals that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) tried to apologize to Hilda the prison bully. Hilda felt like if Alexis were missing some teeth, then maybe she wouldn’t talk so much.

She nearly bashed Alexis’ face in, but a woman named Steph appeared and pushed Hilda to throw this small fish back.

Hilda balked briefly, but Steph wondered if Hilda was trying to disrespect her. That put some fear in Hilda and sent her scurrying away. Alexis thanked Steph, who admitted that’s what she gets paid for.

The news confused Alexis, so she talked to Maggie (Sydney Walsh) about it and found out that Steph was one of Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) people behind bars.

Alexis couldn’t figure out why Cyrus would want to protect her, but she later flashed back to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) promising protection at Pentonville and wondered what he’d had to give Cyrus in exchange.

Meanwhile, Nikolas gave Colonel Jackson and his security team the order to move on the phone.

Over with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), she called her own security team to let them know the safe house had been made. Once Carly and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) met up with Nikolas and Ava Cassadine (Maura West), an argument ensued.

Nikolas learned Colonel Jackson and his men had run into a problem, so Carly smugly admitted she’d called ahead to give them the heads-up.

However, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) and Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) were soon found in the panic room. Colonel Jackson warned that there could be injuries or even casualties if they proceeded.

Nikolas could confirmation that the target could indeed still be extracted, but Laura flipped out and demanded that her son call this off before someone got killed.

Carly finally surrendered and told Tony to have Bobbie let Florence go. She gave instructions to make sure Florence took her medication with her and hung up.

Carly then ripped into Nikolas for being a naïve idiot, a sucker and an arrogant rich boy. She told Nikolas to enjoy Cyrus’ bidding and added that Ava brought out the worst in everyone.

Once Laura was alone with Nikolas, she ranted about what a huge mistake he’d just made. Laura thought Nikolas was finally turned his life around – that she was finally getting the old version of her son back. Nikolas’ actions had just proved to Laura that wasn’t the case.

Afterward, Nikolas invited Ava to let him have it as well. Ava was sweet and supportive instead, so Nikolas and Ava gushed about how amazing they both were.

As for Cyrus on Tuesday’s GH episode, he pushed Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) to stick around at his restaurant table since they’d have something to celebrate soon.

However, Cyrus stepped away briefly to taunt Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) over the end of his marriage – and Curtis taunted Cyrus right back over his missing mother.

Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) talked to Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) back at her place about how she fought hard to get Cyrus locked up all last year. She didn’t feel she had anything to show for it, but Taggert pointed out Jordan was no longer under Cyrus’ control.

Jordan noted that Taggert’s ankle monitor didn’t mean he was on house arrest and thought he should get some fresh air. Taggert wondered if Jordan was trying to get rid of him, but she just didn’t want the Cyrus case to consume him.

Jordan and Taggert also talked about their previous relationship issues, which Taggert felt could be traced back to Cyrus drama, too.

Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) gave Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) a pep talk about her waitlist situation across town. Trina felt like Josslyn should slow down and enjoy these last weeks of high school.

If Southern Coastal University couldn’t see what a valuable student Joss would be, Trina thought that was their loss.

Trina eventually met up with Taggert and quizzed him about his relationship with Jordan. She wondered if anything romantic went down in the past, but Taggert denied it and insisted he hadn’t cheated on Portia.

Talk turned to Trina’s graduation, so Taggert was hopeful that a jury would see things his way and that he could indeed be there for his daughter’s ceremony.

Back with Josslyn, she was glad when Cameron Webber (William Lipton) wanted to patch things up. Cam missed his friend – and Joss missed him, too. However, it quickly became apparent that Cameron was stuck on Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) guilt.

Josslyn couldn’t let Cameron come into her home and slam her mom’s best friend like that.

Cameron felt they could just not talk about Jason, but Josslyn wouldn’t let it go. Since Cameron was stuck on the idea that Jason killed Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), Josslyn wanted him to leave. Cameron was upset and outraged since Josslyn was acting like this was a deal-breaker in their friendship.

Over with Jordan again on Tuesday’s General Hospital episode, she pulled Curtis away from his confrontation with Cyrus. That led to Cyrus ultimately getting updates over the phone about Florence. Cyrus seemed ecstatic as he informed Martin that their dear mother was coming home.

At Pentonville, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) stopped by to see Jason, who found out the plan with Carly was on hold. Jason realized Peter August (Wes Ramsey) had dirt on someone close to Anna and learned that Anna wanted him to talk Carly out of making any sudden moves.

Jason agreed to talk to Carly, but he acknowledged that Carly was always going to do whatever she wanted to do.

As for Peter, Anna insisted she’d do everything in her power to put him in prison. If that didn’t work, Anna was prepared to take it a step further. Jason seemed doubtful that Anna would really be able to kill Peter, but Anna insisted she would eliminate Peter herself if need be.

After Carly showed up for a visit next, Jason realized Cyrus got Florence back and sighed. Carly looked determined as she talked about needing to move now.
