The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers for Thursday, May 20, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) admitted to killing Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero), which left Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) floored. As for Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), he accused Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) of being phony about his support of reunited Liam and Hope.
At Forrester Creations, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) was appreciative about Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) backing off since Hope and Liam needed alone time. She talked to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) about how “Lope” didn’t need something or someone trying to tear them apart.
Flo Logan (Katrina Bowden) came in and agreed that they all wanted Hope’s family with Liam to thrive. She felt it was going to happen – and Brooke was certain, too.
Flo admitted that Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) had noticed some tension between Bill and Liam, which left him concerned.
Brooke recalled mentioning the heaviness Hope had seen in Liam during her visit to Spencer Publications. She pointed out that Bill said Liam could be his own worst enemy and wondered if Bill meant something more with that comment.
Ridge grumbled about how he didn’t like Bill because he was always hiding something.
In Bill’s office, he was deep in thought when Thomas appeared. Thomas suggested this was quite a change for Bill since he almost looked upset. Bill ranted about what the cat dragged in and found out Thomas just did an interview there for Eye on Fashion.
Bill couldn’t figure out why they’d want to feature scum like Thomas and hinted about who he’d have to fire.
Thomas noted that Bill was being even “more of an ass” than usual today, but he couldn’t figure out why. He thought Bill should be pleased since Liam reunited with Hope and was forgiven for his betrayal.
Bill snapped about how Thomas had done far worse, but Thomas didn’t think he was the only one in that category.
When Thomas suggested he was glad for Hope and Liam, Bill said Thomas was so phony it made him want to puke! He didn’t buy that bs for a second and felt Thomas would always think of Liam as the enemy.
Thomas argued that Hope’s feelings toward Liam were all that mattered. He hoped Liam wouldn’t make the mistake of keeping things from Hope again. Thomas felt that if Liam did keep secrets, he’d lose Hope and that’d be pretty stupid.
“You want to know what’s stupid? I’m looking at it,” Bill said on Thursday’s B&B episode. He called Thomas a pathetic joke and took jabs about his train wreck of a life.
Talk ultimately turned to Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero), but Bill griped about the paternity test tampering and couldn’t imagine why the cops would spend any time on the hit-and-run investigation for his “sorry ass.”
Thomas didn’t think it was a waste of time to search for answers about his dead best bud. He raged about the “heartless bastard” who left Liam on the side of the road and didn’t think Vinny deserved to die at the hands of that coward.
When Bill learned there were no leads, he said “oh well” and pointed out that hit-and-run cases go unsolved all the time. However, Thomas vowed to stay on Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) and make sure the person responsible went to jail for the rest of his miserable life.
At the cabin, Liam paced and talked about someone coming to take him away from Hope and the kids. He felt he’d been living in a fool’s paradise and reiterated this wasn’t about his night with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Liam told Hope this was different – that it was worse!
Liam said he wasn’t kidding about someone coming to take him away from his family forever. If they did, Liam felt he would deserve it.
Hope kept trying to convince Liam to let her help, but he felt it was too late. He babbled on about how it happened out of the blue and that there was no time to stop.
Hope insisted that Liam wouldn’t lose her or her love. She promised there was nothing he could tell her that would change anything for her. Hope added that she didn’t care what Liam did; she just wanted Liam to trust her and tell her what was going on.
Liam called Hope’s attention to that night weeks ago when she first let him kiss her again. He felt he lost Hope that night; that was the end of everything for Liam.
Hope was still confused, but Liam explained that he drove Bill’s car on that dark stretch of road in between the cabin and Bill’s house. He told Hope that it happened so fast that he didn’t have time to react.
Liam admitted that when he saw the face and the blood, he realized he was responsible. When Hope asked what Liam was responsible for, he confessed that he meant Vinny. “I hit him with the car. I’m the one who killed him,” Liam said.
