The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will have a couple of good reasons to move forward with her Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) takedown mission.
For starters, Phyllis doesn’t trust Sally not to make trouble for Summer Newman (Hunter King). When it comes to her daughter, Phyllis is obviously protective and always ready for a fight.
However, there’s also the matter of Sally’s interest in Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) – and Jack’s interest in Sally! Phyllis will resolve to push Sally right out of the picture, so she’ll make a bold move against her enemy.
After Phyllis catches Sally looking up articles related to Jack and the Abbotts online, she’ll view that as some sort of incriminating discovery. Perhaps Phyllis will think it’s proof that Sally’s nothing but a gold digger or at least someone who intends to target the Abbott clan.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will track Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) down to tattle on Sally, but won’t get the response she’s looking for. It looks like Lauren will be pretty nonchalant about the whole thing, even after Phyllis warns that Sally is dangerous.
So what if Sally’s looking up stuff about Jack and the Abbotts? That’s not a crime! It’s arguably research since Jabot and Fenmore’s are so closely connected.
Nevertheless, Phyllis will insist that Sally’s got her eye on Jack. She’ll make it clear to Lauren that Sally’s trying to reel Jack in as her new boyfriend.
That may further convince Lauren that Sally’s research is harmless. It’s incredibly common for people to look up their dating prospects and learn more about them. Although Lauren may not be thrilled about the idea of Sally dating Jack since it complicates things, it’s ultimately none of Lauren’s business.
Besides, Lauren has relentlessly pushed Jack to find love again in the past. If Jack finds love with Sally, then so be it. Jack is Lauren’s friend, so she wants him to be happy – no matter who he might end up with.
Lauren knows there are certain parts of Sally’s past that may be troubling, but she considers her a friend as well. None of what Phyllis is telling Lauren will turn her against Sally.
Phyllis will feel like these are offenses worth firing Sally over, but Lauren will think that’s ridiculous. Y&R spoilers say Lauren won’t be willing to give Sally the boot at Fenmore’s over her bond with Jack and Internet research. She’ll probably urge Phyllis to find something better to do with her time if this is the best she’s got!
