The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Thursday, February 18, tease that Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will get to work on selecting a sperm donor.
As they sit at the Chancellor mansion, Abby and Nina will struggle as they pour through profiles of donors, but eventually they’ll agree on a couple suitable candidates.
Meanwhile, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will talk with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) at the bar at Society, and she’ll share that she’s going to be the gestational carrier for Abby and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz).
Mariah will tell Devon that Abby’s currently looking for a suitable male donor. Devon will offer his support, and he’ll think that Mariah is helping to make a dream come true.
At Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) house, Sharon, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will return from Walnut Grove, where Faith has just been suspended for having vodka in her locker.
Faith will insist that she was set up by the mean girls who have been harassing her for months, but Sharon and Nick won’t know what to believe.
Faith will be irate, saying that Jordan (Madison Thompson) was her only friend, and that Sharon chased her away. Faith will rant that the bullying started with the exposé on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Faith won’t want Sharon and Nick to get involved in her bullying problem, and when Sharon says that Faith should have come to her parents about this, Faith will explode.
Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will return home at about this time, and Nick will go upstairs with Faith. Sharon will get Rey up to speed on the situation, and she’ll want to talk about their Adam issues, but Rey will say that now’s not the right time, and he’ll walk out on Sharon.
Nick will return to the room hoping that Adam hasn’t ruined Sharon and Rey’s marriage.
Over at Crimson Lights, Summer Newman (Hunter King) will gloat to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), saying that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) mentioned Sally’s threat to expose his affair in New York.
Sally will gather through their conversation that Summer doesn’t know about Kyle’s supposed son.
After some bickering, Sally will tell Summer that she doesn’t want a war, and that a peaceful coexistence is what she’s after. Sally will even say that she and summer might end up friends, which will baffle Summer.
At Jabot, Kyle will be lost in thought during a meeting with Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) when Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) bursts in the doorway to say hi ahead of his meeting with Summer later.
Bill will meet Kyle and Lauren will welcome the Spencer Publications mogul to Genoa City.
Later, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will notice that Kyle seems off, and when Kyle gets a moment alone, he’ll call Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and leave a message saying that he heard she had a son.
Summer will walk into the room as Kyle is telling Tara goodbye, and she’ll assume that he’s calling his ex to warn her about the news of their affair possibly getting out.
Kyle won’t disabuse Summer of that assumption, and Summer will spill about her conversation with Sally earlier. Kyle will suggest that Summer keep Sally close for the time being.
Later, Bill, Lauren, and Jack will have a humorous interaction in the boardroom during which Bill asks Jack about his sisters and Jack get protective.
Sally will then walk into the boardroom and she and Bill will have a tense moment. Sally will hightail it out of there, and Bill will tell Jack that he and Sally have a history.
Jack will wonder what’s up, and after Bill leaves, Lauren will say that she feels that she only knows part of the story between Sally and Bill.
Bill will head to Society for a business meeting with Summer, which will go very well. Afterwards, Bill will have words with Sally who’s in the lounge area. Sally will get puffed up and say that this it her town now, but Bill will retort that the whole world is his town.
Bill will say that Sally needs to stay out of Los Angeles and away from his family. Once Bill leaves, Sally will talk with Summer, warning her not to get involved with Bill, since he’s ruthless and will “burn your world to the ground to get what he wants.”
At Devon’s penthouse, Devon will arrive home from his talk with Mariah, with something obviously on his mind. And back at Jabot, Kyle will get a text message from Tara saying, “You’ve made some sort of mistake. Do not contact me again.”
