The Young and the Restless Spoilers Update: Monday, June 7 – Tara Drowning in Debt, Kyle’s Job Offer – Summer Bedtime Story Blues

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, June 7, teases that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will reveal she’s drowning in debt, so Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will make her a job offer. Meanwhile, Summer Newman (Hunter King) will face a case of the bedtime story blues as Kyle grows closer to Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) and his mom.

At the Abbott mansion, Kyle will be upset over the advice Tara’s attorney has given her. Tara has no guarantee of winning a custody battle against Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), even with Kyle’s DNA test as part of the equation.

That’s why Tara’s lawyer will want her to surrender to Ashland’s demands and share custody – meaning Kyle would be cut out completely.

After Kyle protests, Tara will point out that she has a mountain of debt from her less-than-profitable shoe line. She won’t get any sort of settlement since Ashland’s prenup was ironclad.

Kyle will suggest maybe they could work something out for Tara at JCV or perhaps Fenmore’s. Tara won’t want to ask any more favors from Kyle, but he’ll point out that she isn’t. Kyle will simply be offering to help.

Tara will also talk about a time when she left Harrison alone with his previous nanny. Harrison cut his chin following a tumble and went to the ER as a precaution.

It wasn’t a serious injury, but Ashland likes to bring that up every time they fit to make Tara seem like an unfit mother. Tara will worry Ashland could use that as ammunition, but Kyle won’t think that’s going to matter to a judge.

After Kyle praises Tara as a great mom, he’ll ask if he can read Harrison his bedtime story. Tara will be thrilled over the idea and will smile as Kyle reads to his son.

As for Summer, she’ll be summoned by Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) to Society. Summer will spot Ashland having dinner with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and wonder what that’s about.

However, Abby will want to talk about the story Summer told recently about her “friend.” She’ll have suspicions that Summer was the one who suddenly had a surprise kid in the mix.

Summer will confirm that Kyle had a child by Tara and will open up about her insecurities. Abby will think the best thing Summer can do is put her faith in Kyle and show him she’s all in on being a team.

Summer will seem appreciative as Abby pushes her to get motivated by Tara and focus on planning her nuptials after all. After Summer heads back to the suite and orders some romantic foods from room service, she’ll text Kyle and hint at some steaminess that’s waiting for him.

Kyle will mention that he’s reading Harrison a bedtime story and wants Summer to meet his son soon. He won’t be able to get back to the room just yet, so Summer will seem glum as she waits.

Kyle will eventually return and find out Summer wants to kick their wedding plans into high gear instead of delaying them.

While Kyle’s showering, Summer will once again look upset as Tara texts about the bedtime story and Kyle’s supportive nature. Summer will clearly feel like she’s on the outside of all this family bonding.

Back at Society, Victoria will get Ashland to open up about the pain of Tara’s affair. She’ll also get him to see that perhaps Tara wasn’t given as much attention as she deserved.

Ashland will marvel at the way Victoria pulls the truth out of him, even when it’s hard to admit. He’ll even confess that Harrison isn’t his biological son, so Victoria will put it together that Kyle is the kid’s true father.

Victoria will relate to Ashland since Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) isn’t her biological son either. She’ll feel like Ashland is Harrison’s father in every way that counts and will get why he’s unwilling to bail on him.

Over with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), he’ll attend a total flop of a get-together at Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) new place. Despite repeated warnings from both Lily and Jack, Billy will keep grilling Jack about Ashland and matters related to him.

Jack will finally roar about how his grandson could get hurt if Billy doesn’t drop this. He’ll surprise Billy and Lily by revealing that Harrison belongs to Kyle. Jack will wind up cutting the party short before Lily warns Billy not to pursue this.

Lily won’t think they should cover any of this at ChancComm, but Billy will have a glint in his eye like he just might do it anyway.

When Jack finds Tara at the Abbott house, they’ll discuss Tara’s own family. Tara will talk about having an estranged brother in Virginia, though she won’t be sure exactly where.

After Tara expresses her gratitude to Jack for how he’s embracing her along with Harrison, he’ll make it clear that it’s his pleasure.

Finally, Abby will film a video diary entry for Chance Chancellor (last played by Donny Boaz) and seem proud of herself for giving Summer what she views as good guidance.

Abby reflect on when Chance proposed and assure him that their family’s still happening, even if it’s not how they originally intended.

Abby will mention something about how you have to work hard at love and make it the best it can be – especially since you never know when it’s coming or might be lost. We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R news and updates come in.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby’s advice may not be so great after all! It seems like a bad idea for Summer to move full-speed ahead on this wedding when she’s still got reservations.
