The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, March 31 Recap – Faith Awakens – Adam Confesses – Amanda’s Dad Worked for Victor

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 31, teases that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will show unconscious Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) a get-well-soon card from Christian Newman (Alex Wilson).

After Nick flashes back to when Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) was dying in the hospital, he’ll tell himself that it’s not the same.

At the cottage, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will admit to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) that Faith still hasn’t regained consciousness, though Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) said it was no cause for alarm.

Sharon will add that a full neurological assessment will have to be done once Faith does wake up.

After Rey leaves to ask Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) caregiver about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Sharon will get a call from Adam. He’ll ask about Faith, so Sharon will be thrown by what he seems to know.

Adam will confess he was the one who pulled Faith from the truck and took her to the hospital before bailing.

Adam will refuse to give Sharon his location, but he’ll want her to know he’s not the one who poisoned Rey.

Sharon will think Adam should come forward and defend himself, but he’ll insist the setup was thorough and that no one will believe him – unless Sharon helps clear his name.

Sharon won’t be able to save Adam this time since she’s got so much on her plate with Faith. Adam will understand and be apologetic about even asking.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will smile at the penthouse as she reads an article about the manhunt expanding.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will stop by the hospital and admit she feels guilty for leaving Faith alone, but Nick won’t blame his mom for what happened.

Later, it’ll be Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) turn to give Nick a pep talk and remind him to have faith like the beautiful name he gave his daughter.

Once Victor is back at home, he’ll leave Adam a voicemail urging his son to call him back. Victor will insist that Adam isn’t alone. Back at the cottage, Mariah will stop by to see how Sharon’s holding up.

As soon as Sharon sees Mariah, she’ll have a flashback of Cassie coming home from school.

Sharon will get emotional and will barely even be able to look at Mariah since she’s Cassie’s twin. After Sharon snaps and then apologizes, Mariah will get that she’s a painful reminder right now.

At Society, Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) will try to distract Abby Newman-Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway). She’ll think Abby needs a collaborative project to keep her sane while she waits to find out if Mariah is pregnant.

Nina will have a screenplay idea that she wants Abby’s input on since Abby is the inspiration behind the main character.

Soon after, Mariah will come along with updates on Faith. Abby and Nina will be stunned to hear about the alcohol-related crash, but Mariah will insist her reproductive system isn’t going to shut down over this. She’ll just be worried about her little sister.

Once Rey makes it to the penthouse, he’ll grill Chelsea and let her blink in response. Chelsea will blink that she wouldn’t tell Rey where Adam was – even if she knew.

After Rey quizzes Chelsea’s nurse privately, he’ll return to Chelsea and talk about how Adam’s a “selfish bastard” for bailing on her to save his own neck.

Rey will think Chelsea must be ticked off at him, but she’ll insist she’s far from it as Y&R fans hear Chelsea’s thoughts. Chelsea will gloat to herself about how Rey helped her pull off her plan.

Back at the hospital, Nick will tell Sharon that he hopes Rey can get that monster out of their lives. Sharon won’t think Nick should be so quick to hope Adam’s to blame for poisoning Rey.

Nick will invite Sharon to tell him one person – just one – who’s better off because of Adam. Sharon will look nervously at Faith. As far as the good Samaritan goes, Nick will insist he’d love to shake his hand and thank him.

A little later, Sharon and Nick will say a prayer as they sit by Faith’s bedside. Faith will flutter her eyes open and greet her parents groggily. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick and Sharon will be ecstatic to see their daughter wake up.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll hear all about Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) murder case and the big decision she’s facing. Amanda will talk about how her father, Richard Nealon, may have been murdered.

She’ll talk about how Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) came looking for help since Amanda’s grandfather, Sutton Ames, was accused.

Devon will think the move sounds pretty calculated, but Amanda will point out things have always been that way for this political family. Amanda will admit Naya presented this as a bonding opportunity, but Devon will think that depends on whether Sutton is innocent.

Amanda won’t know much about the case other than what was in the basic summary she was sent and a couple articles. However, Amanda will find it horrifying that her dad’s life was stolen from him when he was so young.

Devon won’t get why someone would even accuse Sutton of killing Richard, so Amanda will admit this is about a connection that’s unrelated to Naya.

When Richard graduated college, he started working for a company that gave sizable political donations to Naya’s father. During Richard’s work there, he discovered that rules were allegedly being bent to benefit the company.

Devon will wonder if Amanda means the law was broken, but she’ll suggest that gets into a murky area.

Regardless, neither side wanted this information to come to light – and Richard was killed before he was able to expose what was going on. Devon will suggest that leaves lots of suspects who would want the whistleblower dead.

Amanda will agree that if it wasn’t her grandfather, it was probably someone else involved in the corruption.

It turns out Amanda wanted to get Devon’s thoughts on this because the company her father worked for was Newman Enterprises. Devon will reel over the twist in Amanda’s story.

Amanda will point out that Victor was in his prime back then. There was a commercial real estate deal that Victor wanted pushed through, but there were zoning restrictions until Sutton got involved.

Devon won’t think Victor would cross the line with a murder, especially not over a real estate deal. Amanda will wonder if maybe there was someone else who kept Victor in the dark.

Devon will think the real question is whether Amanda will take the case or perhaps dig on her own.

Amanda will feel like this might be her only chance to become part of her family, though Devon will want her to be careful. He’ll find Naya’s actions to be manipulative, but he’ll know Amanda’s nobody’s fool.

Amanda will feel like there are risks no matter what. If her grandfather isn’t responsible, Amanda will wonder how she can live with herself if she just lets the real killer go free.

Amanda will have a lot to mull over, but she’ll thank Devon for listening to her news. She’ll feel like it really helped to work through all the facts of the case like this.
