The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of June 13-17 teases that there’ll be some hints about Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) doomed future while Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) seize the day. Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will also have a new plan for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to consider, so let’s discuss what’s looming.
At the Chancellor-Winters merger launch party, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will offer some good advice.
No matter what highs and lows are ahead, Victor won’t want Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to let it get in the way of their bond.
However, it won’t be long until that bond is indeed tested.
The same goes for Devon’s bond with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) since he’ll go rogue during speech time and make an announcement that he shouldn’t.
Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will encourage Nate to do something that’ll impress the crowd and make a bold statement.
Nate will mention Chancellor-Winters having 50 new podcasts coming down the line, so that’ll indeed seem impressive.
Unfortunately, Devon didn’t want to get into exact details like that and will fly into a rage once Nate defies his wishes.
This affects Lily as well, so she’ll have to speak her mind and will make her own contribution to the family drama.
After Nate’s move backfires, he may sulk over a drink or two and complain to Imani.
We may see Imani make more advances and try to make Nate see that they’re on the same wavelength – not like all the boring people who play it safe.
Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will also become an accidental party crasher if you believe her side of the story, so that’ll lead to some faceoffs with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) along with Victor.
Later, Victor will fill Adam in on his CEO decision. Adam will take the throne and happily remove Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) portrait from the main office.
Sally will be thrilled for Adam, but he’ll be ecstatic for them both. This will bring a situation where Adam and Sally can seize the day, so they’ll take full advantage of the power that awaits them.
Adam will make sure Sally soars alongside him and will share a toast to their accomplishment.
The sky’s the limit as far as Sally and Adam are concerned, so they’ll sit back and celebrate for a moment.
Meanwhile, Victoria and Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) will know Victor isn’t going to accept their new life together without a fight.
Between the CEO announcement that’s meant to pull Victoria back and some other tricks Victor has up his sleeve, there’s going to be trouble.
Ashland will enjoy some takeout with Victoria in what may be a New York apartment.
Victoria will assure Ashland that she’s all in on their fresh start, but he’ll remain uneasy over the sacrifices she’s making for him.
Back with Billy, he’ll get grilled by Jill. That’ll lead to Jill’s growing fears about Billy’s future – perhaps both personally and professionally.
Billy seems rather disconnected since Lily, Devon and Nate are making Chancellor-Winters all about family.
Plus, Nate’s announcement could end up doing something to derail Billy’s podcast division, which has become his baby.
Billy constantly seems to have issues that pop up with Lily, too – especially ones that center around Victoria and his need to protect her.
Billy claims he can let go, but can he really ever do that when it comes to his former flame and the mother of his children?
As for Summer, she’ll recruit Kyle to become the head of Marchetti.
Kyle could find himself thinking it’s time for a change and a challenge, but he’ll want to mull things over first.
Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) and Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott) will also celebrate their 40th Y&R anniversaries on Thursday, June 16.
