The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will face a flood of difficult emotions due to Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) “death” and all the questions she still has.
After Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) confirms that Phyllis didn’t survive the ambulance explosion she was trapped in, Summer will go through an intense mourning period.
It’ll be hard for Summer to cope since she shut Phyllis out in the weeks leading up to her “demise.”
Of course, anger is one of the stages of grief, so Summer will deal with plenty of that – particularly when it comes to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
The week of April 3-7 will bring Summer’s fierce outburst, so Y&R spoilers say she’ll unleash some of her fury on Diane and could throw some accusations at her.
Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) will set Diane up as part of Phyllis’ faux death, so Summer may buy into the story he’s selling eventually.
That’s especially true since Summer will be desperate for someone to blame for Phyllis’ fate.
Summer has never truly trusted Diane anyway, so she may start to believe it’s Diane’s fault that she lost her mother.
Between the poison frame job that Jeremy’s cooking up and whatever other evidence he can offer, Summer may insist Phyllis collapsed because of Diane and was in that flaming ambulance because of her, too.
It’s not like Summer and Diane have a great relationship anyway, but Summer does her best to play nice for Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) sake – or at least she did before this nightmare happened.
Now Summer could be on the verge of completely turning against Diane, which could obviously take a major toll on her marriage to Kyle.
We may see Kyle defend his mom and try to convince Summer that Jeremy is at fault instead, but Summer’s mind may be made up.
Since we know Summer will rip into Diane, that could be a sign of bad things to come.
Summer could ultimately insist that she’s moving out of the Abbott house and refuse to live under the same roof as Phyllis’ “killer.”
Kyle may end up in a tight spot since he’ll want to support Summer through her grief.
This could turn into a situation where Kyle has to move into a hotel with Summer as well since he surely won’t want to leave her alone right now.
Then again, Summer may have some big issues with Kyle too if he continues to defend Diane.
Kyle and Summer could separate if their marriage deteriorates to the point where they can’t live together anymore.
Bottom line, Summer’s about to unleash her wrath on Diane and that could make it impossible for her to live at the same residence.
We may see Summer announce that she’s checking in The Grand Phoenix – with or without Kyle!
