Shemar Moore Hints At What To Expect For S.W.A.T. Season 7 Finale

Like a cat with nine lives, S.W.A.T. will live to see another season. For the second consecutive year, CBS was supposed to cancel the drama, only to reverse its decision.

This means that fans will get to see a Season 8, which seems like it could be the very last one for the show, but at the end of the day, that’s still hard to tell, as everyone thought Season 7 would be the “last hooray” for the cast and crew, including Shemar Moore, star and producer of the series.

Moore, who plays Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson on S.W.A.T., was celebrating the CBS Fall Schedule Celebration in Hollywood when he told Deadline that the show’s Season 7 finale was organized as if the series was ending.

He goes on to say that nearing the end of the strike, he along with the drama’s writers and producers came together at his house. He went on to tell them, “Ok, what are we going to do this year? If this is it, let’s go out with a bang. Let’s give them our signature. Let’s give them the action: helicopters, chase scenes, motorcycle chases, fight scenes, Hondo sprinting through an alley. Let’s rock them.”

Alex Russell and Kenny Johnson, who played Officer Jim Street and Dominique Luca, respectively, exited the series after seven seasons this year. Moore also talked about whether the pair could come back now that the series has been renewed for Season 8.

He starts off by saying that it’s hard saying goodbye to wonderful people and change is hard. He adds that, “regarding those people” that fans miss, “nobody died”. He adds that, “In the world of Hollywood, anything can happen.”
