The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) may face her arrest and a trial after a kidnapping fiasco. It looks like Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) will have her hands full with a new client soon enough.
Mariah could already be looking at charges if Will Hensley (Michael Swan) comes forward and testifies over the smothering drama.
However, Mariah’s about to commit another crime that’ll become the focus of her current storyline.
Y&R offered up a hint in the January 2 episode when Mariah reflected on how she used to sing to Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (last played by Rainn and River Ware) when she carried him during the surrogacy.
Mariah grew quite attached to Dominic before he was even born and affectionately referred to him as “Bowie.”
Whether Dominic is part of imaginary Ian Ward’s (Ray Wise) new “path” for Mariah or she goes rogue with one of her own, she’ll indeed go after him.
All signs point to Mariah snatching Dominic and fleeing for parts unknown, so this will pull Devon Winters (Bryton James), Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway), Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) into all the action.
Of course, there’ll be a massive search effort for Mariah and Dominic.
Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) will even end up pitching in as Abby and Devon travel on a private jet somewhere.
Sooner or later, Mariah’s going to get caught and hopefully come back to her senses.
It’s obvious that Mariah has suffered a genuine mental break, so that may become part of her upcoming legal defense strategy.
As for who’ll take the lead on defending Mariah, Y&R preview info for 2026 points to Christine accepting her case.
Christine will indeed step back into attorney mode and try to get someone out of a jam, so it sounds like it’ll be Mariah.
Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) helped Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) out of her last legal mess, but he may not be able to help Mariah.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may forbid it since he’ll no doubt be furious over Mariah snatching his grandson.
That’s when Christine may step up instead and try to get Mariah off the hook for all her crimes!
Mariah will hopefully just end up in the psych ward with some doctors who actually know what they’re doing since that clinic in Boston was no help
Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah will land in trouble with the law down the road.
