There are two celebrities I always look too for style and beauty inspiration, last month I featured and profiled actress, singer and fashion designer Nicole Richie. My second celebrity I turn to for style and beauty inspiration is Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton. Kate has an amazing sense of style which is already elevating her to the status of a fashion icon. Kate’s fashion sense has been hailed as “amazing” by top Hollywood stylists.
Her style is classic and sophisticated, yet still fashion forward. Kate can go from totally glam in her gorgeous teal Jenny Packham gown and Jimmy Choo heels (above left) to a stunning royal blue Reiss dress to deliver her first public speech. When its time for some downtime Kate grabs a pair of her favorite skinny bright coral J Brand jeans and gets casual. Bright colors are the thing for spring this season and Kate does not disappoint.
Kate’s dedication to more affordable high street brands over super-expensive high society fashion makes her style accessible for everyone! Being able to look great wearing affordably priced off-the-shelf items is simply more impressive than requiring personally designed outrageously priced clothing.
Kate’s simple but stylish hairstyle is already making its own waves in the fashion world. Kate has said she wants a romantic feel to her hair yet she wants it full of bounce and shine. On special occasions she steps up her hairstyle and loses the curls for a sophisticated updo. In the picture above she steps out of her usual style and displays an amazing braided updo during a red carpet event for the London Olympics. Braids are really in style and I love what she did with her hair.
