General Hospital spoilers tell us that there are two women in Port Charles who will do anything to get what they want. They’re sisters: Ava and Olivia Jerome. After a long hiatus, during which she was presumed dead, Olivia Jerome [Tonja Walker] is back, and she wants blood. She intends to bring down her brother Julian Jerome [William deVry], who “killed” her years ago. In fact, she had him shot in 1988, but he lived.
Olivia had a car bomb planted with Julian’s name on it back in October, 2016. Instead of killing Julian, it took out Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig]. Morgan may be wandering around with amnesia or he may be dead. General Hospital spoilers are not sure but lean toward a Morgan return at a later date.
Olivia’s enemies include Anna Devane, Sonny Corinthos, and let’s not forget her own brother, Julian. Can we assume sister Ava [Maura West] could also be considered an enemy? GH spoilers say we can. And right now, Ava and Julian are pretty tight. Ava is not going to run to her sister, thrilled that she’s still alive, especially after she finds out that Olivia has been heading up the Jerome family and calling the shots all this time. In fact, she’ll probably be disappointed that Olivia isn’t dead after all.
General Hospital buzz predicts sibling rivalry will reach a new level with these two. After all, Julian tried to kill his own sister, and in fact, thought he had. Olivia will barrel through anyone to get to her brother.
As far as a face-off, who do you predict will come out the winner?
If you look at their backgrounds, Maura West explains: “When you grow up watching your father come home and wash blood off his hands, you don’t give it much mind.” Guess not.
But Ava, though she can be a horror, has the tiniest bit of vulnerability. She has had some exposure to humanity. Not sure how much penetrated, but she has two daughters whom she loves. Also, with leukemia and hanging on a bridge in the dark, she’s faced death, which is always good for giving insight into your own life.
Olivia’s foray with death was brain damage at the hands of her half-brother Dino Antoinelli [Chris DeRose]. She was institutionalized and probably unable to reflect much.
If Olivia had daughters, given what she’s done to her own family, I’d be nervous. Besides activities against Julian, she replaced baby Leo’s aspirin with sugar pills — just to show she could get to him at any time. Her own nephew! Of course we all know Ava is quite a pill changer herself and Morgan’s death stems from her cruel actions.
It’s hard to imagine that any Jerome thinks of this bad seed as a relative. Olivia’s more like a mortal enemy to her own clan.
