Was Nina Dobrev snubbed by her best friend Julianne Hough? That’s what a lot of fans can’t help but wonder as new reports say that Nina was nothing more than a guest at Julianne Hough’s wedding to Brooks Laich. Many figured that Nina would have at least served as a bridesmaid for Julianne for her special day.
According to reports, Nina Dobrev attended Julianne Hough’s wedding as a guest – and not as a bridesmaid as previously expected. Julianne’s brother Derek Hough served as a groomsman while the couple’s two Cavalier King Spaniels, Lexi and Harley, served as ring bearers.
And while Nina is yet to post any photos from the wedding ceremony, she did tell People Magazine, “I’ve never seen a man look at a woman like that when they said ‘I Do.’ It took my breath away.”
There was a lot of speculation that Nina Dobrev was going to serve as one of Julianne Hough’s bridesmaids. After all, Nina was front and center at Julianne’s wild bachelorette party earlier this year. And the two celebrity friends have always been inseparable. They’ve been by each other’s side during the good, the bad, and the ugly. Clearly, Nina has always been an important person in Julianne’s life.
There’s also the possibility that Julianne simply didn’t want to be upstaged on her own wedding day. Sure, she’s also a huge celebrity thanks to her ‘Dancing With The Stars’ stint, but Nina is fast becoming a Hollywood star. She’s made it no secret that she wants to be a huge action film star. Now that her television career is officially over, she has her sights set for bigger and better things in the entertainment industry, including a coveted spot on the Hollywood A-list. Plus, Nina has a huge fan base. No bride wants to be left in the shadow on her own wedding day. And that might be the reason why Nina Dobrev wasn’t asked to be a bridesmaid at her best friend’s wedding.
So far Nina Dobrev herself has not made any additional comments about Julianne Hough’s wedding. Of course, there’s also the possibility that Julianne simply doesn’t want any details of her wedding leaked to the media. She wants to be in full control of what photos are released – and what aren’t.
