Gillian Anderson Upset: Tea Leoni Discusses David Duchovny Divorce and Friendly Relationship With Ex-Husband

There were rumors before the divorce that Tea Leoni and David Duchovny were maybe, possibly spending time together again, even though the exes have been separated for quite some time. Obviously, this did not sit well with Gillian Anderson fans, nor Gillian Anderson herself, we presume. After all, aren’t David and Gillian finally getting hot and heavy after all those years of resisting their chemistry?

One can’t blame them for waiting this long – they wanted to remain professional on the set of the X Files, and besides, they had their significant others to worry about. But for the first time ever, they are both single. In addition to that, enough sources and eyewitnesses have attested to seeing Gillian at David’s NYC apartment. Not to mention, their chemistry [which has always been HAWT] has reached boiling temperature at their recent events. Hand holding, touching, being kissy feely? Yep, and so much more! Either they’re baiting the fans – which is just mean and something neither of them have done in the past – or they’re doing it, doing it, doing it.

However, David’s ex-wife came in and had to ruin all the fun. She spoke about her relationship with David, and she claims that unlike most exes, she and David are still on wonderful terms.

Tea told Parade Magazine, “I don’t know how I could ever hate him. We’ve always loved each other, and we adore these kids.”

Ok, yes, they do have kids together, and they have to remain amicable for their children’s sake. We can respect that. But saying that she’s always loved him? Eh, you guys are divorced. Maybe don’t go throwing around the word ‘love’ so much? Especially not if he’s got another girlfriend in the mix.

For what it’s worth, David might not even know about these interview quotes, but Gillian? I can’t imagine she’ll be pleased. If we’re going with the most instinctive gut reaction she could have, I’m guessing that would be jealousy and anger. And then understanding, because Tea and David were married… or maybe Tea’s trying to get back on David’s good side, in which case Gillian might just X-Files her in the face [see what I did there? Sorry, I couldn’t help it].
