Tonight on ABC Celebrity Wife Swap returns again with an all new Wednesday July 8 season 4 Episode 8. On tonight’s episode, Cloris Leachman and Pia Zadora swap places.
On the last episode, Margaret Cho is a stand-up comedienne with numerous successful comedy specials who loves to push the envelope with her racy jokes. She also devotes much of her free time to fighting for equal rights and equality for the LGBT community. Residing in Hollywood, CA, Margaret lives with her best friend, comedienne, burlesque performer and actress, Selene Luna, and performance artist, Moni. Her close family often visits. Not a fan of cooking or cleaning, dirty dishes and old take-out containers are always a staple inside the home. She also prefers not to bathe regularly and rarely showers in her environmentally sound outdoor tent shower. Margaret, Selene and Moni don’t follow a set schedule and enjoy sleeping in late and drinking wine in their pajamas during all hours of the day. Did you watch the last episode? After working as a child actress on Broadway, in regional theater, and in the film Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. She came to national attention in 1981 when, following her starring role in the highly criticized Butterfly, she won a Golden Globe Award as New Star of the Year.”

RECAP:
#CelebrityWifeSwap has Cloris Leachman and Pia Zadora. Movie star Cloris Leachman has won more Emmys than any other actor. She lives in California with her daughter Dinah and her family. Dinah says Cloris is a ball buster in her late 80s. Her granddaugher Hallelujah jumps on the trampoline and says her grandma usually usually jumps with her but she sprained her ankle.
She’s swapping with Pia Zadora who was a pop singer from Europe who won a Golden Globe for Butterfly. She now has a Vegas cabaret. She lives with her husband Michael who is a cop and worked the case when she had a stalker. He says he had a simple life before he met her. She has three kids and son Jordan is the only one who lives with her and Michael. She says he’s a slob.
Michael says she likes the AC on and the fireplace with the drapes closed. She’s also a germaphobe who wears gloves and a mask when she’s outside. They each pack up to leave their homes for a week. Cloris says she’s going to make wife swap her bitch. Cloris hates Vegas and says there’s death on every corner. Pia doesn’t like LA and says she smells horse poop. She puts on her gloves.
She comes into the house and calls it hippyville and wonders who leaves the door open. Cloris refuses to wear booties. Cloris says it’s freezing and wonders why there’s no sun in the house and wonders if they’re vampires. Pia likes Hallelujah’s room. Cloris sees Jordan’s room and calls it disgusting. Pia says the house is so open it makes her feel naked. Cloris hears the birds and yells at them to shut up.
Pia sees Cloris’ photo and says she’s so iconic. Then Cloris sees Pia’s photo and says she remembers her. She says Pia is not like anyone in the world. They each read the household manual. Pia reads about Dinah and her husband Tom and her daughter Glory Hallelujah. Cloris reads that Pia’s hubby is a retired copy. Cloris reads about Pia’s home being zen and how she likes keeping it closed up.
Pia reads about the vegetarian meals they make and the open doors all the time. Now it’s time to meet the families. Dinah wonders why she’s wearing plastic gloves. Michael and Jordan find Cloris taking a nap. Michael says they have dinner plans and Jordan says his mom left her sun protective stuff for her and Cloris says that’s f-ing stupid.
At Cloris’ place, they put Pia in a robe and tell her to go barefoot. Dinah starts making dinner and prepares appetizers. She hands her some booze and food. Pia wants to help but Dinah says no. Tom is at his man cave. Dinah says it’s okay and says she doesn’t belong up there. Michael takes Cloris out with Jordan. They serve up a Piatini at Pia’s cabaret and restaurant.
She performs Friday and Saturday and Michael works there on the weekends. Cloris thinks they talk too much about her. Tom comes in and Dinah asks him to take Pia to the table. They eat outside and Pis is freaking over the critters. Hallejuah says she’s never tasted meat and Pia is shocked. They hear coyotes and then Dinah says a bobcat ate their cat and Hallelujah says rattlesnakes can get in the house.
Pia freaks out over the meal and decides to go to bed when a bug flies in. Michael ordered Pia’s favorite meal for Cloris. She doesn’t eat meat and it’s a huge steak. It’s been 50 years since she’s had meat. Cloris says she can’t eat meat and doesn’t think the guys need red meat. Cloris takes to the piano and plays for them after dinner. Michael is impressed.
Back with Pia, she’s terrified of critters flying in the windows. Cloris wakes to hot coffee by the fire in the freezing house. Michael gets her a fur coat. She doesn’t want it and says no one wears fur these days. She says it’s a dead animal. Cloris says Michael needs to get his man card backed. He says that’s not how it works. Dinah is up busy for breakfast. Pia says she slept crappy.
Dinah says the noise is what helps her sleep and says they’re going to go enjoy the beautiful day. Pia wants to get dressed but Dinah says the robe is fine. Jordan makes breakfast for Cloris and Michael. Cloris cracks a joke about wanting coffee now and sex from Michael earlier. Dinah and Pia sit at the pond and Pia is freaking out. Pia says Dinah seems to do so much.
She says she’s like a slave, constantly working. She asks if she and Tom get couple time and she says they’ve been on one date once in all the time they’ve known each other. Jordan plays video games in Vegas while Michael takes Cloris to the club. They’re on the golf cart and she’s in the sun gear again. She drives her cart around the clubhouse for fun.
Hallelujah comes home from school and takes Pia on a walk to get tea from the neighbors and says her mom pays her take her grandma on walks. She says they choose a neighbor and they make tea. Pia doesn’t get it. She says it’s crazy. The neighbor hands over a tea. Cloris hears the birds and says if they shit on her it will be trouble. She breaks a vase. Michael asks if Jordan broke it.
Pia goes up to Tom’s man cave. He says it’s his space. He says with three women, he needs a sanctuary. She says he shouldn’t be hiding away on top of a hill. She says his man cave will be gone tomorrow. The ladies are now making a rules change. Cloris is ready to shake things up. Pia tosses grandma’s robe and says they are closing up the house to get nature out.
Cloris says AC off, blinds open and getting active. Pia says the man cave is gone and he has to share with his wife. Cloris tells Michael he needs to be his own man. Pia says someone else needs to cook for Dinah and they’re going out. Pia says Hallelujah needs to help out. Cloris says they are going meat free. Jordan says not to touch his bacon.
Cloris orders them to turn off the AC and open the blinds. Pia has the family shut the windows and doors. She has a fireplace on the TV. Tom says this is all fake. Cloris then takes Jordan and Michael to a martial arts gym. Jordan says he doesn’t like working out. Cloris has Michael set up to fight with a female boxer. Cloris says she likes it when she punches him in the face.
Pia takes them out for a nice dinner and Dinah says it’s nice to not cook. Hallelujah asks if she can have a steak and Pia agrees to share. Hallelujah doesn’t know how to cut a steak. She takes a bite and then makes a face. She says she doesn’t like it. Pia says it’s great she’s experimenting. Next day, Cloris has the guys making vegetarian soup. Michael calls it booger soup.
Jordan says it’s a good step forward then Cloris makes him clean up and says Pia babies him too much. She makes a game of it and puts a basketball hoop on the trash can. Pia has made the man cave into more of a couples cave with a hammock and champagne. Tom isn’t sold. They enjoy some couples time and Pia has Hallelujah invite some friends over to teach them to make a snack.
She teaches them to make mac and cheese. Pia says Dinah deserves to have a break. Michael takes Cloris out on the street to patrol the neighborhood to get his man card back. They pull over a guy who littered. Cloris asks if he’s drunk. Michael is excited to be on patrol again. Tom and Dinah hang out on the hill and drink champagne and he says he can get used to it.
Tom says maybe it was a little selfish to go up there alone without Dinah. Now it’s time to pack up and get back to their families. Cloris gives Jordan a big hug then heads out with Michael. Pia tells Tom and Hallelujah goodbye and heads out with Dinah. Cloris tells Dinah it was a lot of fun. The four sit down to talk. Michael and Dinah are introduced.
Pia says their house is so rustic it felt like she was in a forest. She says there were flies and Pia tells Michael it was like a zoo. Cloris says it was freezing and then Michael says she went ballistic when he offered a fur. Pia says Dinah was tough with her and she walked around barefoot in the $29 bathroob. Cloris says it’s a $57 robe. Pia says it was a mess and was kind of gross.
Pia says she had to get up and walk out. Cloris just laughs then calls Michael Mr Zadora and says he needs to grow some balls. Dinah laughs. Cloris says she took them to the gyms and Pia says Mr Zadora doesn’t work out. Cloris nags him to get him to do a push up. He says Cloris made him fight a female MMA fighter who kicked his butt. Then Pia says Tom is up in his man cave hiding.
She says maybe he doesn’t have enough testosterone. Michael says he’s not there to defend himself. Pia says Tom needs to spend more time with Dinah and Cloris agrees. She says the man cave needs to be a couple cave. Dinah says someone from the outside pointing it out will help. Cloris says Pia babies Jordan too much. She agrees. Cloris says he’s wonderful.
Michael says he thought more about where he came from and Dinah says she needs to take time for herself. Pia says it was a fun ride and they all learned. They all head home. Pia says she was proud for giving something to Dinah. Pia says maybe some sunshine once a month. Dinah tells Cloris maybe they’ll go out to dinner.
Six weeks later, Cloris is back on her feet and back in her robe. Dinah is up in the man cave all the time. Pia is back to her usual but Jordan is trying to be more active.
