The General Hospital Spoilers for the 2015 Nurses Ball predict it will be one to watch. Here are some MAJOR SPOILERS about what we can expect to see at the big annual charity event. First, you should know that GH is going all out for the event and will broadcast the Friday May 1 and Monday May 4 and Tuesday May 5 episodes with full expectation that fans will be glued to their seats.
In the weeks leading up to the big night, Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) helps prepare for the Nurses Ball. Olivia hires Hayden Barnes’ (Rebecca Budig) other fake husband to serve as event staff. This is the guy that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) hired to portray Jake Doe (Billy Miller) in the wedding photos. That’s step one of the trouble. He’ll be photographed as part of the event staff and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will recognize him and will confront Hayden.
It will turn into an epic fight and the exposure of Ric’s plot. All of Ric’s shenanigans to keep Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) away from Jake will be aired publicly. Ric’s dream of a Cinderella evening with his lady love Liz will come crashing down around his ears. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy, right?
There’s also a major character returning to heat up a love triangle. “General Hospital” spoilers indicate that Vanessa Marcil aka Brenda Barrett is returning at long last to Port Charles just in time for the Nurses Ball. By all accounts, she’s Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) one big love and the one that got away. And right now, Sonny is not pleased that Carly seems to be sidling up to Jake.
That, combined with his stress over his kids Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) who’s looking like a druggy child abuser in the press and daughter Avery who is soon to be kidnapped and out of his custody and he will be vulnerable to Brenda’s attention. Brenda will stick around for a while and this will evolve into a full-fledged love triangle. This may send Carly looking to Jake for comfort.
The Nurses Ball will be the first public outing for Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) after his big burn accident. Spencer will be hesitant to go out in public, but he wants to keep Emma Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) happy so she stays with him, so he’ll go.
But those two items are actually the least dramatic part of the Nurses Ball. One major character will die at the big celebration. Here’s how it’s rumored to go down. A hit man was ordered to take out Carly and Sonny at the ball in front of the Metro Court. There will be violence all over the hotel and near the event. Jake will step up to take out the assassin and save Sonny and Carly – and perhaps many others. Jake’s heroism will only make him more glorious in the eyes of Liz.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will be injured in a shooting in the Metro Court garage. Brad Cooper (Parry Shen), Olivia and Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) will all be injured. This sets Olivia up to possibly lose the baby, fathered by Julian Jerome (William deVry), that she’s carrying. If Olivia is seriously harmed or loses her baby, she will likely never forgive Julian since he’s the obvious choice to have hired a hit man to take out Sonny and Carly.
But it’s Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) that will lose his life in the Nurses Ball shoot-em-out. And it’s not the mystery hit man that will kill Duke, but Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) herself. “General Hospital” gossip indicates that Duke may go after Jordan and it’s not the hit man that will harm her, but Duke himself because he’s certain she’s a CI spying on the Corinthos family. Anna will be faced with a difficult choice and will kill Duke – either purposefully or because she’s trying to stand down another shooter. Duke will die and Anna will be devastated.
At the Nurses Ball this year, Stone Cates (Michael Sutton) will be honored. Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) will come back for the event to honor her first love which will be a shock to Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) and Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) since they just moved in together. Will this throw a monkey wrench into the new hybrid family Sam and Patrick are trying to create?
Also, we know Wally Kurth aka Ned Ashton is leaving Port Charles because he’s resuming his role as Justin Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives. While this is a sad farewell, as least he’s not dead like Duke, so he’ll likely be back in the future. The great news is that Ned will go out in a big way. He will perform at the Nurses Ball as Eddie Maine. Of course, he rocked the ball last year with his super-steamy performance of You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth. Wonder what his swan song will be at this year’s event?
With Stone being celebrated, Robin and Brenda back and Eddie Maine in fully glory, it feels like a blast to the 90s in Port Charles. Can’t wait for the Nurses Ball!
