Kate Middleton After Baby Girl Born Expects Longer Maternity Leave: Queen Elizabeth and Camilla Parker-Bowles Call Duchess Lazy?

Kate Middleton has reportedly decided to take a longer maternity leave after this pregnancy with her baby girl than she did the first time around, with Prince George. A source tells People Magazine, “She felt she came back too soon last time. She wants to have that [family] and enjoy it with George and the new baby.”

To be fair to Kate, she will have two children now, which means that she’ll need more time to spend with them – especially as a family. Prince William is already busy with his air force duties, and wrangling two children isn’t an easy job to do – especially right after giving birth.

However, there is already a lot of criticism targeted towards Kate and her working schedule, with many people criticizing her for taking far too much time off already. Sure, she worked on a very grueling schedule during the past few months, especially since she was pregnant and exhausted. But if you look at her schedule for the year, she’s usually on vacation most of the time – or if she’s not on vacation, she’s at Kensington Palace or Anmer Hall, doing nothing but spending time with Prince George. AND she doesn’t even need to do the usual baby duties like diaper changing, since they have a nanny! Taking an extended maternity leave is really a formality, since she’s already on nothing but maternity ‘leave’ for most of the year.

Really, can you blame the royals [mainly Queen Elizabeth and Camilla Parker-Bowles] for calling Kate Middleton lazy? Heck, we’re not part of the royal family and we call her lazy! To Queen Elizabeth and Camilla Parker-Bowles, this is probably the height of disrespect, especially since they themselves didn’t have the luxury of taking so much time off during their official duties.

What do you guys think? Would you call Kate lazy for taking an extended maternity leave? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
